Board URL: VirtualLeagues.proboards.comProblem: Hey, I run online leagues through my forum on proboards. I've recently had to ban a member who is now threatening he can and will be deleting our entire boards, this & that. I don't believe its possible without him or him knowing some great hacker, REGUARDLESS, it got me thinking, theres gotta be some way to save or backup our entire forums, or at least a good amount of posts. Is there any way to do this, or copy what we currently have to a 2nd forum we could call our backup? Thanks

Hi You cannot, at this time, obtain a backup of your forum, however, we run regular weekly inhouse backups of all of our servers. However, if you secure your accounts, you shouldn't need a backup. Your forum is as secure as you make it, and the password you attach to your admin account, and the staff you choose. Read the information on the following site in regards to keeping your online accounts, and your forum secure safetynet.proboards.com

Don't be too afraid of 'hackers', or people who claim to be 'hackers'. As i touched on in my previous post, people get into people's accounts because of poor passwords, and/or poor password management. People who can 'hack' [which means they are extremely talented in the computer coding world] are very few and far between and to be honest, will put their talent to better things then idle threats and message boards.
Basically, just because someone says they are going to hack you, don't think that they will, because odds on they barely know how to open up their internet browser, but because people have been made to fear the word 'hacker', people use it because, just lik yourself, it scares people.
