For those that didn't see: support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pbgt&action=display&n=1&thread=153984We have been working with AddOnChat in order to create a seamless live chat implementation in ProBoards. One of the options they give users, is to offer things such as full user integration from another user base. In this case the userbase is a proboards forum. This is a test here for the GT users, to ensure this is all working correctly at this stage in development. The chatroom can be found at support.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=chatPlease do not ask any questions about dates for the service wide launch. It will be launched when both myself, Craig, and the team at AddOnChat are happy with all the details. If you do ask any such questions, your post will be deleted. Aside from that, please use this thread to discuss the chat in general, and please use the following thread, to discuss features, bugs etc support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pbgt&action=display&n=1&thread=153985

I think it works very well. Nicely interlaced and easy to use. Seems stable. I like it. ;D

Will gmods automatically have some sort of moderation privs in the chat? (sorry if this should be in the other thread) At this stage yes, staff members will be given control relative to their forum powers (eg ban members, would equate to ban and kick in the chat) At a later stage, specific power options will be added in the membergroups, to allow more precise settings of power, and to let not forum staff, have chat powers

Some flaws/bugs I have noticed...
When you post a URL, it is converted to a weblink but the link is not clickable.
Sounds do not work (Maybe this was dissabled. LOL) -MarvinRules

Sounds were disabled, links i may have disabled as well thinking about it.
I want to try and get a mouseover preview of links that have the URL masked like the "click here" type links, otherwise its open to abuse

The /whereis command doesn't seem to function properly. I've a feeling the /whereis and /msg commands don't work because of the combined usage of display/registered names. I tried all three ways to get them to work but no go. I'm quite excited to see the use of the addonchat software in use here. I've been a contributor to the addoninteractive forum (formerly SigmaChat) for almost three years now. I am looking forward more development withing the PB environment.

Haha I'm seriously enjoying this. Having a chat client is a great way for members to get to know each other outside of a (relatively) formal setting in the forums.

I'll have to take a look. I could be mistaking. EDIT:opps, i just noticed the first statement you made here Martin. I did a url to someone in private and it was clickable. I also posted a URL in the open chat in a "Created Room" to tobi's profile and it was clickable.
