Based on the threads about login problems tonight and my same exact experience, I think there's something screwin up. I've had the same problems today with me (admin) and members trying to log in. After typing the correct password, you end up popping up as a guest still, but your name logged in at the bottom of the screen. I haven't been able to get into my login for a few hours now. A cookie problem is improbable, but I tried it anyways. Right now I'm in my college class experiencing the same problem as I did at home. Our forum is located at: www.deathbygerbil.com .

You are also using a domain name for your board.. did you try logging in to the orginal proboards url?

I was having that same problem but I was also using a sub domain name and I used the actual board address and it worked. Thats what I was thinking.. It could be because of the domain name.. but others are having the problem as well using the actual proboards url

Mhm, it works without goin through the domain. I've had the domain for quite some time now though. What would have happened to produce that kind of problem? Bare with my lack of internet nerdistry , I have two domains leading to this site. www.armedrodents.com and www.deathbygerbil.com. I and all the other members have used www.deathbygerbil.com as the main url to access the site and the other is my own personal that I'm doin nothin with, so I thought I might as well. Using the armedrodents.com url, it directs me to the proboards site and changes the address field to the proboards url. Using the deathbygerbil.com URL, it changes over to the proboards site and continues to use the www.deathbygerbil.com name in the address field. They're both coming from different domain services. So I'm guessing this is a domain name issue and not a proboards issue? If so I'll wander off and go bug some domain peopamle.

deathbygerbil.proboards45.com/ The www.armedrodents.com domain redirects the url fine and people can log in. Just the www.deathbygerbil.com one doesn't. No settings on that domain were touched by me, although it's in the hands of another person, and they're not online right now. So I can't really get in to check. But based on the fact that this happened at around the same time to a bunch of people, it might be somethin with a certain domain name company. To hell if I know, I'm one o dem der dumb peoples.

How does your members log in using the orinal proboard url? do they get in no problem??? If one domain name works fine, and the othe doesnt.. are the both from the same domain?? - if not, hen that could be the problem as well. If you have no problem using the probpard url, then i would suggest using that until a fix is found for this. It could be that domain is having problems - I would just wait a bit and see, and if possible get in touch with whoever it is that is helping you run the other domain.. and see if they changed any settings or whatever within it.

Yeah, the armedrodents and the deathbygerbil domains are from different companies. I think it's more likely that settings were reset or there's an issue with that company, based on the other posts. I'll get in touch with the guy. For now I have people using my armedrodents url, since it directs to the proboards URL fine and doesn't present any login troubles. I'll go harrass some domain people when I get ahold of the idgit who has de account. If all that don't work, then it must be the APOCALYPSE, WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!! DIEEEEEEE!! AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Anyways, thanks fer all the help.
