Some of our members are having this problem, there are existing threads that most of us can access but just a few cannot, and they get this error
The requested URL /undefined was not found on this server
Do you need more info from me on this?
(I'm a newly promoted Global Mod so I haven't been on the support forum yet)
They've tried clearing caches/cookies. and have used multiple browsers.
thanks squid

in your headers, remove the red: <meta name="Description" content="The Armitage Army. The Official and Original Armitage Army Fan Forum for fans of the English actor Richard Armitage, star of BBC Spooks, North and South, Robin Hood, The Vicar of Dibley." /> :<script> document.getElementsByTagName('table')[0].style.backgroundColor="transparent"; </script> In your footers, remove the following codes in their entirety - I've only posted the names, for copyright purposes: /* users online today v2 coded by ross of 101support.proboards43.com special thanks to chris of studiozero.proboards44.com for hosting it not to be reposted anywhere main footer */ and <!-- /* Report to Admin v1 For Support: support.proboards.com */ both are now built-in proboards features. the second one, you actually have in twice, so be sure to get both copies. In this code, add the red, remove the blue: <div align="center"><A href="http://www.amazingcounters.com/"><IMG alt="HTML Web Counter" src="http://c4.amazingcounters.com/counter.php?i=961372&c=2884429" border=0></A><BR>
<span class="style2"><SMALL><A href="http://www.alldvdrentals.com/buy-dvd-movies.html">Buy DVD Movies</A></div> </span></div> try that and see how things go. =]

Hi.
That problem is caused by the jump to most recent post code.

you're welcome. they are correct, but they apparently won't fix your problem which is caused by the 'jump to most recent post' code. =] they do need to be fixed, though.

Thanks Kami, well we'll go ahead and do your fixes, but is there a way yet for us to fix our issues?
On our forum, if someone clicks anywhere in the thread box, they jump to the most recent post. (Other forums I belong to, you have to click on the "new" button). Would that have anything to do with the problem?
(Could the members having problems on our board just click on the "new" button and be able to access the thread?) Actually I don't know if they're using the "new" button or not.
Should I find this out?
thanks so much! squid

If your members clicked the 'new' icon next to the thread, yes, it will jump to the first unread post. =]

Ok, I understand, and will report back with the results. Thanks again!
(It's difficult with users on different platforms, different browsers, in different countries, with many different levels of communication skills, as I'm sure you are used to dealing with!)
What makes it trickier for us is that it seems to be random, each user who is reporting the problem says that it happens on random threads.
Again, I don't know if they are clicking on the "new" button or just on the thread title, and don't know if that affects it or not. (if it's the same code or not)
thanks! ;D

=] any time. what i meant to say was the 'jump to newest post' code isn't necessary, as they could click the 'new' icon and have it accomplish the same thing. since this is already built into ProBoards, it wouldn't return with any errors (provided you remove the code as outlined).
let us know how it goes.

OK, I'll definitely suggest they use the "new" icon and see if that helps, while we're cleaning up the code like you outlined.
Many thanks!!!

Well I edited the code, people are still having problems (as we suspected). I'm asking for specifics from them, their OS and version and browser and version.
Not all threads on our forum have "new" icons, even if there are new (unread) posts, by my observation (older ones do not). So for the ones that don't have the icons, they're getting intermittent 404 errors and still some "requested URL does not..." errors. Because it's intermittent I'm not even sure how to ask to solve the problems, but at least getting browser and OS info might help. I will post back here later when they start to reply. One person said that a thread with no page numbers and no "new" icon won't open for her. I personally can open every thread, I believe. (but there are many hundreds)
thanks again!
