Forum URL: gatornation.proboards82.comA user asked a question about e-mail notification. He asked if any of our forums are, or could be, structured so that a user can request e-mail notification if anything is added to the forum. I looked through the control panel and the general user profile setup and the only thing I found similar to this is an option allowing individual users to request e-mail notification to threads the user is subscribed to. Is there a feature that allows users to opt in for e-mail notifications to any new threads or responses, or must they be subscribed to each thread?

Hi, Yes, but, only for threads bookmarked. you can send them this explanation: Email notification can be done through our bookmarking system. To set this up, click the button, then press the 'Bookmarks' link on the next page. Next, click the link for "Click here to manage your bookmarks preferences.", and on the next page you'll see the following: "By default, when you bookmark a thread, what type of notification would you like to receive when a new post is made in that thread?" -- set this to 'Email' and then press the 'update bookmarks and preferences' button.
With that set, you can then press the button in any thread, and will receive an email notification when a new reply comes in
