Hello.
A certain ProBoard allows anonymous posting which has resulted in an infection of unproven legally libelous accusations against real living people who do not post on the board. The accused are known by many registered and unregistered posters on the board, and many registered board members know each other in real life. Legally libelous anonymous posts do not get any moderator/admin/owner attention at all. I have PMed the board moderator/admin/owner with a suggestion to turn on IP address display with anonymous posts. Apparently it is a deliberate decision to allow anonymous "guest" posts and let the board run wild. And run wild it does.
Allowing anonymous posting is rare in internet forms these days and I really surprised this moderator/admin/owner allows it for liability reasons alone.
Any advice on how to get the board's moderator/admin/owner to deal with this situation?
Thanks, Jesse

It was a few hours ago - I provided links to the board and an example thread. Should I get an e-mail acknowledgement of the report submission?
thanks,
Jesse

Not everything happens instantly a TOS violation may take several days before it gets looked at depending on the back log.

How will I know an outcome of my TOS violation report? The ProBoards TOS should e-mail you about the outcome. If you are using Hotmail, and if the e-mail is not found in your main in-box, try looking in junkmail folder instead.

ToS never lets anyone know the outcome of when things when they are dealt with. I don't where you got that from. It doesn't even state that when you file a report. All matters are kept private for a reason.

Thanks, I did that.
How can a board that allows anonymous guest posting make sure posters are over 18 years old?
Would allowing unlimited anonymous posting be a potential TOS violation?

They don't need to make sure posters are over 18. Proboards are for people over 13 years old..

That means that anyone aged 13 and over can post here.
I'm 15, for example.
