Gah.
They're too time consuming and they waste a lot of your time. They'll register the domain name for you and direct it to your webspace, what's the guarantee that once your website starts getting a lot of hits, they won't direct the domain back to their webspace or to where they want it to?

Do they give you control over keeping the domain locked and can you access the info to ensure the nameservers remain under your control?

OR even keep the domain running? In a year your site takes off, and they decide not to renew! POOF all your members are gone. No domain name. All gone.

Do they give you control over keeping the domain locked and can you access the info to ensure the nameservers remain under your control? I doubt it. If you stopped holding up your end of the bargin then they would want to be able to kill the domain name. If they give you controll then you could change the PW and it would take longer and more effert to cancle it.

All your work, trashed. Well...losing a domain name wouldn't destroy your work It'd still be there on the server, only you'd have no domain name to point to it any longer. So, I guess at that point you'd need to fuss up and pay to get a new one (or snatch the same one right when it goes back into PD).
