Hi, in the movie "national treasure" ©, ben gates finds these glasses in a brick in Washington D.C., Benjamin Franklin made them and they had different colored lenses, in the movie they see special codes on the back by putting two colors down. Does anyone know what these type of glasses are? How they work? Do they work with invisable ink?
thanks

In theory they work with different "invisable" inks. Each ink reflects a different "invisable" wavelength of light. By using different filter lense combinations you can see the "Invisible" markings.
Edit: Kind of like using UV light to see blood or other things in CSI.
Or how different wavelengths of Light are used to tel the difference between ink types on a document. (Again on CSI)

How would you make different types of ink, i know you can do it with milk and lemon juice. Well you could get a chemestry set and look up various ink recipies on the net... The Lemon Juice one is heat based, not light based... There are pens available that write in invisible ink, and you have to use UV light to see what was written.

You could also look into color pattern cloking of your messages. Many Military flashlights have a few colored filters. So you could use red and blue ink. Write your message in red ink, then scribble over it with blue ink in a wild pattern. Then use a Blue filter to hide the blue ink, and turn the Red ink into purple ink. (And you can do the same with the reverse)
