Ok, so I'm going out for the interview for my first job. Its a sign twirling job- not full time or anything, but something to earn a few extra moneys.
Basically, I want to know, what are some good tips and basic things to know when going to the interview?

here's what I think, Preceding the interview, take a shower, and apply deorderant. Also, pick a nice set of clothes to wear, the kind of clothes that you'd want to wear to your parents' anniversary dinner at a fancy resturant. Also, try to get to the appointed destination early but most important of all, be yourself.

be honest but dont be honest to where you dig a hole. Be friendly but not too friendly. Dont sit like a stone and give monosyllabilic answers but dont babble on and on. basically just be natural.

Yes, get plenty of sleep, and get ready early. Dress nice, check yourself in the mirror to make sure you don't have somethig embaressing in your teeth.
Leave early--traffic happens, accidents happen, delays happen. You don't want your first experience with your potential boss to be explaining why you were late.
I agree with Erin- be honest. Try to relax and take nice, even breaths. If unsure what they're asking, consider it for a second and ask for clarification. There are no stupid questins. *considers* Okay, don't ask something not pertaining to the job, anyway.

The number one question to never ask in the interview is: "How much will I be getting paid?" Wait until you get to HR to ask that question.
