We can perceive some things (e.g., a bird) with each of our five senses. Other things (e.g., the wind) we can perceive with only some of our senses. And still other things (e.g., bacteria) we can perceive only by extending our senses (microscope). Do things exist that we are unable to perceive with our senses or any extension of our senses? What would be the nature of such things?

What would be the nature of such things? Well well well if it isn't Richie VinciPero Jr Here is my theory Memory is the single most important function the brain performs but it is not a sensory organ. There are 5 sensory organs, eyes, ears, taste buds on your tongue, smell receptors in your nose, and nerve endings in the skin all over your body for touch. So you only have 5 senses, sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. The memory records the stimuli which is constantly bombarding the sensory organs during wakefulness or consciousness. Without memory we are nothing, there is no experience and without experience there is no knowledge and without knowledge what are we?

I easily think there are things we can not sense....such as a 6th dimension.....possible things in the spirit worls and so on.....they talk about humans having an undeveloped 3rd eye....just what would that 3rd eye be able to sense if it ever did become developed?

Hammer head sharks have an extra sense, where they can tell where things are by electro-magnetic signals. So, humans are missing out on who knows what.

There are definitaly things that we can not precieve with our norma senses. I have a keen sense of "Intuition". For example if something is broken, or not working, I "hear" a whisper telling me what to check, or what is wrong. And it is always right!
Now hear is the best way I can describe it. There is no real sound being made. I hear it in my mind. (No the voice does NOT tell me to kill, moon, or heat twinkies till I expode. LOL) It is not always there, but often enough to help me out. Sometimes I am tod that I should take a different route when driving. But each time I either see what trouble I avoided, or I hear about what happened on the radio, or see it on TV.
So I have to say that there are MANY things that we are just not aware of.

I think there is alort there that we can't sense yet, because after all, we only use 10% of our brains.

actually we only use 10% of our brains at any one time, not altogether.
