Females. It is more possible, because the chromosones or whatever have to match in I think the Y and Y, or X and X, to make a male. The female gender can be produced with a combination or vice versa to the one that forms a male.
That is 3:1 ratio of possibility.

Why is this?
It's simple genetics.
The sperm cell is ether an X or Y choromosone, and whichever it is, along with the egg of the female, decides the gender.

Why is this? It's simple genetics. The sperm cell is ether an X or Y choromosone, and whichever it is, along with the egg of the female, decides the gender. for one, I just did a little investigation, and apparently males are miscarried much more often than females, especially in times of stress.

There is no such thing as a YY cell (at least not that I'm aware of). The empty egg cell (ova) is always X. The input (sperm) is either X or Y. So XX = girl. XY = boy. There are more girls for some reason. I don't know why, perhaps Y sperm cells are a bit less common than X.
