Some minor swearing no, but excessive and unnecessary language, I do. Though I haven't yet, everyone's being good.

i dont... because i dont mind mild swearing if it isnt aimed at someone or isnt excessive... the second someone does either of those two things is when i'd be on their butt...

if you only warn if its aimed at someone, you can still say you dont warn for cussing

If it happens more then once they will be warned and if it continues they will be issued a warning.

I don't warn members for minor swearing if not used excessively. But for excessive use or more severe words or using words to offend people will result from a 2 week ban to a perm ban.

On my forum my members can sware if they want to however if it is aimed at someone, they will immediately be issued a warning or if that same member did it again. he/she would be on probation for a set amount of days/weeks. If continued a 3rd time, he/she would be banned FOREVER!!!
That's how strict I am on my forum. Any other offence will just warrant a reminder notice to fix up the problem

I do here simply because if it were to get started, it would get out of hand immediately Kapt~`'- Agreed. It's not necessarily the words themselves, but how they're used and directed at people. Allowing them beyond some minor stuff usually leads to flame wars because people assume that because they can use foul language they can target others with it.

Allowing them beyond some minor stuff usually leads to flame wars because people assume that because they can use foul language they can target others with it. Exactly. Besides, in a public place like this is, there is no need for it as some people get offended. In real life I use a lot of foul language, but it bothers me when I hear some kid in Wal-Mart saying "F" this and "F" that loudly so everyone hears it. It's rude and offensive Kapt~`'-
