Why do you care so much about what we think? If you want a cheetah, go get one, no one here is going to stop you.

Its never going to happen and you might be better starting with something like a puma.

You've said that you know you can train them. If you know that then you would certainly know the other requirements. If you don't know this then the only advice that I can post is that you should go visit a zoo and inquire about becoming an assistant for the big cat handlers. There you will do grunt work while you learn things from the trainers. If my suggestion above isn't what you want to do then I'm thinking you want a cheetah solely for your own vanity. In that case you should find another outlet for it than harming an endangered species.

i know that i first have to get government premission and a permit. but i have alot of other questions. 1. where can i get the right food? 2. what kind of enrichment should i get for the cheetah? 3. should i have the canines cut like i would a dog jusat incase it got rabbies? 4. what should i do to keep my horse safe? 5. at what age should i get it from the wild? all these questions are vitial to my if i want to have a cheetah as a pet. 1) im sure they eat Champ meaty Chunks. 2) well im pretty sure you can enrich a cheetah for nuclear powers so becoming iraqistan (usa's new enemy ) is out of the question 3)i propose getting a case of rabbis jabs cos I'm sure jabbing your selfs easier then trimming teeth 4) get a dog kennel 5)with all these stupidity why not just get a IVF cheetah .......this post is not to be taken seriously

60+ mph. but that won't stop me because i can run atleast 34 even though you might believe that its true. and i don't want to have a cheetah to hurt it as a matter of fact i hate when people hurt them not just because they need to be conserved but also because they are truly mgnifincent and beatiful animals and i can't satnd to see somebody hurt them.

I refer you back to Marvins post a day or two back for idea's on walking a cheetah.Just looked it up, they run at 70mph and can go from 0-70mph in 3 seconds lol Better get a bugatti veyron or something 60+ mph. but that won't stop me because i can run atleast 34 even though you might believe that its true. and i don't want to have a cheetah to hurt it as a matter of fact i hate when people hurt them not just because they need to be conserved but also because they are truly mgnifincent and beatiful animals and i can't satnd to see somebody hurt them. Running after it at 34mph won't stop it from going where it wants to, whether or not it will hurt someone, you can't have a loose cheetah

I feel the same way but also understand that to preserve a species it is better to support those that really know what they are doing, rather than just owning one.
Why not check out if its possible to adopt a cheetah.

did you not read the part that says that owning a wild animal actually helps it numbers increase not decrease. But not a rare and protected wild animal . They are kept for captive breeding to boost the species . You are talking wild animals NOT on an endangered species list . Do the homework .

it is possible all i have to do is go to the exotic cat site that i posted and go to the adoption place then i can figure out how to adopt one. but trust me it won't hurt anybody because of training. the only type of training that works all the time is trial and error training which mostly used with dogs and cats but it can also be used to train a wild animal as well. all you have to do is basically know what to use and then train the animal.
