Much better. Any thoughts of the thread option drop down menus?

Just so you know Wrighty, that isn't a standard <select> box, it's a div system. But it is still true, using the CSS styles you can customize it to look how you want. Just might not be how you originally expected.

That's cool, it just always looks strange when it's "Cut-in" like that, stands out a bit much.

These newest versions (4 and 5) are going against what I believed Proboards was about. I thought that Proboards was about simplicity - not overdoing the forum concept but keeping it to an easy and manageable level. This was the reason I joined Proboards, so that I could have a simple interface with an amazing design. But with the newest features Proboards is becoming phpBB-ised, I don't think this is the right move.

The new features are things that the members wanted, and what the members want, the members will get (to a certain extent!)... There will always be a way to remove the functions/features that you don't want - so if you feel that there's something you want removing/changing, then it can be done, provided the TOS aren't broken!

You contradict yourself there. Besides, anything different in v5 will be able to be changed with the new template system. v5 right now looks drastically different, but I'm sure come release it will look the same, or close to the same, as all previous releases. There have never been any complete redo's of the layout, only evolutionary advances.

I think it looks great so far. I can't wait to see the final release! I especially love the fact that you have added the ability to see what board members are on. This will help to determine what threads members & non members are reading even if they don't post.

Patrick, something I have really wanted in ProBoards for a long time is a way of knowing whether or not I've participated in the topic. Some examples would be for instance if I posted in a topic then the topic icon would have a dot in it. Or maybe the table row could be shaded differently, maybe the topic subject could be bold or italics, etc. It'd be really nice to see this feature, let me know what you think. Great idea!!!!

I liked all the ideas except the Members Viewing Board/Thread. I think a code to get rid of this would be nifty though. I just don't think I'd want that extra little table thing there. ^_^ I love the preview though. Very useful.
