So, I was just outside having a cigarette on the front porch when something really strange caught my eye.
Down by my feet was a Daddy longlegs. We get alot of them around here, so it's no surprise to see one right there next to me. However, upon closer inspection of the little creature I noticed that it had a bright orange body, and extremely long legs.. they had to be at least four inches, and had white horizontal stripes on them o.0 I might also add, that it only had six legs, not eight.
Maybe it wasn't a daddy longlegs? Anyone have any ideas?
I would have squished the little guy (I hate spiders), but I was barefoot and only had a burnt match and a cigarette, and didn't feel like burning it o.0
Also.. while standing there I watched a small wasp crawl into a small hole in the siding of the house (I've been too timid to find the hole, as I don't enjoy being stung). Should I be concerned?

It might have been a zebra that was in some weird lab accident and got shrunk. Crawl after the wasp and see if it's hoarding them

I've seen some Daddy Longlegs around here that are orange-ish, they also seem to be older. I've also seen ones with chiggers on their legs. It's definitely a weird site

I just went back out with a can of "BugOut" and sprayed every spider in sight.. one was a huge Daddy Longlegs with a red body - he didn't like it very much. Can't find anything online, so I guess I'll just have to accept their differences in color and kill them either way

Aww, darn. I don't feel like I'm living dangerously now that I pick them up. Thank's a lot for ruining my perfect fantasy! I was going to be the next Steve Erwin!!!

lol! Sorry about that. Just remember, if they do bite you don't pull out the tooth! Learn from Steve Irwin's mistake I actually ruined my own fantasy about it.. I'd always thought of de-legging one and putting it in an enemies drink. I'd never have been caught! >.> I guess I still could, and tell them they drank a spider.. but it wouldn't be as fun.
