Craig, just got this from another member. "I have come to mm everyday since Monday. The times I posted I didn't have a problem and nothing unusual happened until today. I was on line since the morning I didn't run into any problems on other sites. When I came to miller mom I received a pop up which looked very similar to my computer virus scanner ( flashing red lights and warnings Flashing followed by a mcafee pop up. The http on the was scannerspy1.com. I have a vista I believe my browser is IE7 " Tell the user that if he experiences it again, he should press CTRL + ALT + R and report them so we can get it taken care of quickly (and also use this thread for future ad reporting please). I'll see if anything can be done with the info you provided, though Also, can we get the username of the person who had this problem?

Craig, I put back the code to see if it whether it was a problem.
"Mayleng, I am able to reply just fine now. I did do what bros suggested and set IE8 to compatibility view.
majorv"
majorv was one of the members who had trouble using the reply function.
So people using IE8 overcame the problem using compatibility view.

Craig, a member SharonF who had problems with using the reply function before I took out the code, has the same issue back again after I put back the codes. She is using IE8.
majorv who had the same issues, was able to use the compatibility view to over come this.
Why is IE8 causing this problem and why only certain people? I am using IE8 and don't have this problem.

Craig, majorv who was able to use the reply function yesterday, is having having the same issues again.
"Well, I spoke too soon. I'm having to use Quick Reply to write this. It worked fine yesterday though. When I hit Reply it will bring up the page with the smilies and an empty text box but as soon as I type it knocks me out with the previous error I was getting. I do notice that it doesn't appear to be able to finish loading the page. There is a message at the very bottom frame that says it's waiting for...and it is a long string pointing to the millermom web address."
If there is a conflict with the codes why is it not consistent. It works one day, and then not other days. And it does not affect everyone just some members.
What codes should I use to replace the ones i have to resolve this issue?

Sorry, i read a previous reply and thought this was resolved.
Could you clarify. It works fine without codes in, but there's an intremittant problem with codes in?

Yes, it worked when I took the codes out, then I put it back, and it worked for a couple of days, then the same issues came back.
However, it does not effect all members, just some members. Which is what is confusing.

Craig, what should I do. Should I change the codes, and if so, could you give me the codes?
Thanks

Yes, it worked when I took the codes out, then I put it back, and it worked for a couple of days, then the same issues came back. However, it does not effect all members, just some members. Which is what is confusing. Remove just the additional smilies code and see if the problem persists. Leave it removed for a few days. I believe you will find that is the problem.

Yes it worked OK when I took away the smilies , but I would like to have the additional smilies, is there anyway I could replace the "conflicted" codes so that I can still have the smilies?

Do I replace this: <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- /* More Smileys pbv4 by california*/ var smiley = new Array();
var imgPath="http://i695./vv313/Mayleng/"; smiley[0]=['2thumbs-1.gif','2thumbs*'];
and the rest of my smiley names
with this
<script type="text/javascript"> <!-- /* More Smileys pbv4 by california*/ var smiley = new Array();
var smiliesFolder = "http://i695./vv313/Mayleng/";
var smilies = [ ["'2thumbs-1.gif','2thumbs*:"], ['tongue10.gif','tongue10*:"],
and continue until the last one
['fairydust2.gif','fairydust2*:"]
var td=document.getElementsByTagName("td"); if(location.href.match(/on=((modify)?post|createp|pmsend)/) || document.title.match(/ - (Preview|Post)( Message)?$/)){ for(i=1;i<td.length;i++){ if(td.width=="70%" && td[i-1].innerHTML.match(/Add Smilies:/)){ for(j=0;j<smiley.length;j++){ if(smiley[j]=="BREAK"){ td.innerHTML+='<br />'; }else{ var code=smiley[j][1]; var img=imgPath+smiley[j][0]; var jsadd='javascript:add(\' '+code+' \')'; td.innerHTML+=' <a href="'+jsadd+'"><img src="'+img+ '" border="0" alt="'+code+'" /></a>'; } } break; } } } // --> </script>
