I'm going to PM you with a list of possible emails I could have used when registering the forum with Proboards.

That would only be worthwhile if you have access to those email addresses. I need to verify you own the forum, and simply stating the email is not enough. You will need to put that email into your profile on here and activate it.

OK, I can do that. I just sent you a PM asking if there's any way for you tell me which email service was used to register the forum. From there, I could probably figure out what was the address used, and place it into my profile here.

Hi,
Sorry for the delay in replying.
Is there any chance you can contact google and regain access to the email address that was in the admin account. They should have a procedure to do this.

Submitted the form a few minutes ago, but I don't know how long it takes them to respond. In the meantime, there's no way you can at least tell me which email service was used to register the forum (Yahoo, AOL, Gmail, etc.)?

We have tried our best (5 times) to give Gmail as much information as they need to release the account to us, but each time they have denied us. We are really hoping something can be agreed to (whether or not you'd like to compare the IP address from which I'm posting this to the IP of "admin" on Pulse Music Board, or even "ehl" here and "ehl" there) to let us get the board back; besides this very board, Pulse is the 2nd most active forum out of over 3 million Proboards.

Thanks, appreciate it. It's ironic that the board has survived for so long (6 1/2 years) that my original email address may have been deleted in the meantime. My fear is that I used an MSN address from when I had MSN Internet service, which I have not had for quite a long time and now the email address doesn't even exist.

Yes, your efforts are greatly appreciated. By the way, if you guys need additional evidence that the hacker deleted the email address registered to the admin account, go ahead and enter the name into here and you'll see that it no longer exists: www.google.com/accounts/ForgotPasswd?service=mail&fpOnly=1

I have been a member of Pulse since it first began in 2003. I am beyond positive that whoever hacked Pulse purposely did it on April 1st to make it look like it was a prank. At this point I am concerned over the security of myself and other posters, considering they now have access to any information we have in our profiles (including our IP addresses). I have been having security breaches since the incident, however I cannot prove if the two incidents are related.
Anyway, I don't know how much it'll mean but I can pretty much confirm that these claims are legit. I myself run another board and I'm a GM at another one (although neither are as big as Pulse). I really hope this will be resolved soon as I do fear for my safety currently at Pulse and have even considered deleting my account until things are restored back to the way they were before.
Thanks for the time.

Thanks for the time. We have control of the admin account. I'm not sure where the security risk is there, as we would have access to it regardless. The issue here is being able to verify ownership, and we are discussing the issue. Craig

Ok, that is good to know! (I was worried that whoever hacked the board still had the admin account). Please let me know if I can be of any help.

Thanks. But the only person we can help here, and the help of, is the owner of the forum Take care mate. Craig

Hey, I'm a poster over there and I was wondering, if you guys can't give them the moderating powers back (which I think they should as this is legit), can you atleast please fix the censors? I'm tired of all these singers being censored to "Garyn Fett" or something. lol

Also.. without moderation, and a forum of this size, we are getting posts like this... NSFW: pulsemusic.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=lounge&action=display&thread=95472I know there's a way you can give someone moderating powers without giving them controls over the entire forum itself. Isn't there a way we could give Ethan (ehl) the moderation powers back so things can be locked and cleaned up atleast?
