So, there are a few people on Facebook in my list who have taken it upon themselves to like at least 400 links everyday. That's fantastic.
Today I came across a group.
"Creating situations in your head that will NEVER happen in real life."
... or, you idiots could say, "Daydreaming."
I think apart from the 'Dislike' button, FB should add an app that lets you shoot someone in the face for posting something.
"Peter joined the group 'Waking up in the morning and going to the loo'." 23 people like this. John shot Peter in the face for posting this.
And then.
"Peter joined the group 'Chillin with frnzzzzzzzzz!!!!!1111111111!!!" 2 people like this. 2,304 people shot Peter in the face for posting this.
I think after a while people will begin to get the hint.

Or you could have an option to "shoot" the people who make all those pages/groups. Then maybe they'll stop making new ones, and eventually they'll go out of circulation entirely.

That wouldn't cause widespread drama. How many people are there in your friends list who make these groups anyway?

My goal isn't to cause drama but to directly attack the root of the problem.

The root of the problem would be Facebook deleting all this groups whenever they're formed and have only groups for real causes and not nonsense like this.
Common Interest Groups aren't to the line of hanging out with friends and liking coffee.

XD I'm still laughing at it... But I really do agree! How about those awful groups that people like just because the group name is so long, it takes up the entire News Feed page? >__<

I saw an advert on eBay once for about £3000 to purchase 'genuine' 100k members for your facebook group >.> i can think of a lot better things to waste my money on!, i remember people used to do this for Twitter follows as well, i got no idea why people want to buy members

"Creating situations in your head that will NEVER happen in real life." and day dreaming are different things...
But yes, people do engage in excessive liking.

i went on a "like" rampage once. never again. the clicking almost drove me crazy. but i would rather hit the dislike button than click the like button. it could finally tell all of idiot friends to shut up. most of recent news is all like ads and stuff.
