Yeah I've been a fair number of times over the years. Mainly to the Rock/Padstow/Polzeath area.
Had some great times there.

Dunno what the eden project's like nowadays, but I went a couple of years back, and it were rather good. Made for a few nice photos, too.

Funnily enough we've just come back from 2 weeks hols in Cornwall! We were staying just outside St Mawes on the south coast. We meant to go to the Eden project, but basically hit the beach as often as we could so never made it. Cornwall isn't that big, so most things of interest are within short or reasonable driving distance. I would particularly recommend a visit to Newquay and Watergate Bay on the Atlantic coast - which is the centre of the surfing activity in the area. Even if you don't surf yourself it's fun to watch. Also, just outside Newquay on the way to Perranporth is a gem of a place called Holywell Bay - well worth a visit if the weather's good. Perranporth is good too. The pasties vary in both price and quality....but you've just got to haven't you LOL Here's a link to some piccies of Holywell Bay - in case you want a peek...... lindisfarne.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=photo&action=display&thread=3885&page=1

Been to Cornwall a few times, first time we were camping round the coastal areas of Devon and Cornwall, didn't get to the tip though. If you have the time, and want to visit a preservation museum, try Morwellham Quay (about 35 miles from Delabole), Went there about 12 years ago, you can even go down the tin mine and try on old costumes of the period (we want some photos).

You should go to Tintagel, where King Arthur was supposedly born. I found the Eden Project boring when I went really. Cornwall is nice though.

If i could move to Cornwall, i would. My grandparents used to live in Mevagissey when i was younger and i spent all summer and Christmas down there with them. It's only about 10mins from St Austell (and the Eden project) and other assorted lovelies. I've spent a few holidays in Bude too, on the north coast. It's a lovely part of the world, i suggest you explore it to its fullest.

My paternal family is originally from Cornwall. Been there a few times, it's pleasant enough. Pasties, Eden Project, beaches, what else do you need

YOU SHOULD MOVE. you'd be closer to me then. :] i live literally about 10 mins away from cornwall. despite a lot of stick it gets from the devonshire lot, it's a beautiful place. i'm sure you'll enjoy your stay!

Oh....the other thing worth mentioning is - look out for being ripped off! We were charged £4.40 for 2 small bags of chips in St Mawes. They weren't even hand cut chips they were those ones out of a bag in the freezer Some traders in Cornwall apparently see tourist season as a good reason to double or even treble prices, according to my friends who live there. /usefultip
