I happened to be reading a very religious book by an Irish author and the Nuns are considered "Brides of Christ"...my fiendish little brain took the idea and ran with it.

Hmmm...okay S F Giants - so it's okay for Christ to have multiple wives in a non-biblical sense but not "real" people??? Wouldn't it make life so much simpler to have multiple spouses, one to fit every need you have? ;-)

I've never had a thread that "got going" I actually don't mean it to. But it is an interesting theory and one that is being used as themes for some popular literature...I think it's called something else though and I can't remember the word.

I think it's Catholics that do that anyways, and they have been proven to do alot of things wrong.

Just throwing this out there, it works two ways. xD (SF Giants is right, btw, it's a Catholic thing).

1. Brides of Christ are nuns.
2. Catholic priests are 'married' to the Church.

And because current laws are stupid. I am fully for polygomy as long as I can be the one to have multiple husbands.
