Would you marry someone with a history of cheating

If you're with someone and thinking about marrying that person. However, this person has a history cheating. Would you marry them despite knowing this history? Personally, no. If they cheat once before, they cheat again. Not only that, there always be that question in my head if she cheating behind my back. Privacy be an issue for anything she might hiding. My current gf I'm with is great and fully trust her. I wouldn't bother looking at her email unless I'm checking on an email I am waiting on. Her exboyfriend was abusives and a huger cheater. Like me, she hates cheaters with a passion.

I wouldn't marry or even date a cheater (a "former cheater" is almost as rare as a unicorn).

I'd also avoid anyone who had a history of dating cheaters or abusers. The odd situation that she couldn't control would be understandable. However, if she had a track record of dating jerks then suddenly me I'd be very wary that I was the "stable guy" that she dated just long enough until the next jerk tempted her.

This. Cheating is quite literally direct disloyalty, also, which is one of the worst crimes in my book. I've broken it off with friends (or at least severely limited my contact with them) because of disloyalty, and I don't see how a lover shouldn't be held to the same, if not a higher, standard.

Might I ask, Hero, is that a real cheat for any particular game?

I don't know.. I'm pretty forgiving, and people can change. It'll probably depend on circumstances.

Probably not, but I think there's some room to bend on the matter. If by history of cheating you mean that the guy habitually cheated on his last girlfriend/wife, then absolutely not. If it was a one-night kind of thing, that would still be a pretty big issue, but most likely not a dealbreaker.

Like Less.Than.Three; probably not. If they have a few examples of cheating, definitely not. If it was once and then they took steps to prevent it in the future, then maybe.

Just because they did it once doesn't mean they will again as long as it isn't on you. What if they cheated on their spouse with you because they loved you but not them. I see it as a problem, yes, but I guess it all depends on the circumstances...

I absolutely wouldn't. Hell, I don't even know if I want to get married period (having difficulty accepting the premise), let alone to a cheater. I was cheated on before and I won't tolerate it, period.

If they've made a mistake and genuinely seem to know they were wrong about it, my gut instinct says they actually changed (very rare), and are with me legitly and not through cheating, and I feel I can trust them, I'll give them the same chance as anyone else: one. Doubtful I'd ever marry them, though.
