Who all lies about their birthday?

1,497 birthdays listed for today in the info center. I guess some people (about 1,497 of them) jump straight to the year when prompted for their DOB.

I myself tend to use my real birthday for accounts, but skip to the year for sites' age gates. Speaking of age gates, websites are getting lazy anymore, asking you to just type your age instead.


Do you enter your real birthday when prompted, or do you usually just choose a year guaranteed to make you seem 13/16/17/18+, whatever the site requires?

I now enter my real birthdate, I didn't for some time though. Pre-Thirteen being the reasoning.

I always enter my correct birthday. I think it was wrong once, which was on here I believe, but I got it fixed.

I was 13 when I joined, so there was no point in lying =P

I think my birthday here is correct. not sure though. I usually enter it in the right way, but I've made mistakes before, like one forum i put down 1984 instead of 1994.

Mine has always been the real date. Don't see the need to use a false one.

I always enter the right date. However, one time, I made a huge mistake and said I was born in 1916.

Dont think i ever knowingly put false date for my birthday. When i was younger i always got April and August confused so might have done then for month but not year to make me seem older

Eh, I've lied about the year before, but never the date. I'm not much one for people knowing my age, so I'll often put it as 1/9/96, 1/9/94, or 1/9/1900 xD

I used to put in birth dates that were about a week from mine, but I've since gotten more comfortable with my actual birthday.

I'm just too honest , I have told on myself in the past , anyway , I use my real info all the time on every proboard i join , I hardly see any of these folks who are having a B Day posting , some of them use very sad names , I'm not going to change them to I'm a spammer or anything , most just want in to see what the honest people are up too , we go through this every year on new years day and most of the first week of the year , i think these Members never intended to be a part of the proboards community , and some have downright disturbing names , it could be they are Phishing Code or Data or just want to read stuff and not post , some people are shy & lazy ;D QC
