We all have that one person or two people whom we'd trust our lives with. Who is it for you? Mom or Dad? Both? Someone else, family or non-family related such as an Uncle, Cousin, neighbor, nearby friend, etc?
Feel free to list whom you voted for, and why.
I vote for both my mom and dad. Sure they can be pains at time, but they are my closest friends. Contrary to what people say on here, I trust them when it comes to almost everything, because they've been here longer than I have, and have experienced things I haven't.

Strangely enough(as most people tell me) I'm not really close to either my mother or father.

i can't say either of them. o_0 ... my mom ignores me most of the time and my dad doesn't give the impression of caring all that much.
but i have sisters whom i love very much, who i care about very much, and we talk about everything together. some of my friends are like that too. c:

I'm voting for Dad, even though I'm closer to my mom, cause i feel like there's very little dad-love going on in this thread

Same as Renegade.
I mean I love them all and would absolutely die if anything happened to them but we weren't exactly brought up as "close". Same for friends or other people. I hate when I am told by various friends or boyfriends (who always end up moving away or moving on, interestingly enough) that they will "fix" me from my dislike of getting too close to people. Plenty of people are this way; doesn't mean they are broken.

Yeahhhhhhhh. We just aren't a close family most of the time. As far as friends go, after getting too close to people before, and getting hurt by it, I'm wary of being close to anyone else. not that I wouldn't like someone close again, just that they gonna have to be pretty special

It's definitely Dad for me. Must be all those sports games we attended as I grew up.
I'm very close to both of them though.

A few years ago I probably would have chosen my father, but now it's about equal. I'm not especially close to any family members that don't live under our roof, though, mainly because they all live far away and I don't see them very often.

In all honesty I'm close to every member of my family, especially my grandmother/grandfather and a special aunt of mine, but when it comes down to the cold hard facts I go with my Mom all the way. I never knew my biological father, so that instantly put him out of the mix. My mom knows everything about me from my strengths to my weaknesses and so on and so forth. I might argue with her sometimes, she might get on my nerves, but in the end I could never live without her. My mother and I are extremely close and it'll always stay that way!
