Its not the point about the Dojo's itself, but about bringing children into a dangerous sport that requires YEARS of training to contain the pain, and the kids involved are only new to this.

No one is getting all fussy about youth soccer (which is incredibly popular), even though it seems to me there's a bigger chance for serious injury with it than this cage fighting. Did it ever say what kind of injury this kid had anyway? It sounds to me like it was just a sprain or something and nothing else. I think the only reason anyone has an issue with this is because of the cage. Lose the cage and it is simply just youth wrestling.

Youth Soccer is only for children who wish to do something for their lifes rather than sit on their butts all days playing games on their games console. Unfortunate for the child itself, it can lead to serious problems such as injuries, which do happen in sport. But putting them inside a ring with no protection can lead to a life-threatening decision that will stay with the parents for the rets of their lifes.

There's no need to wear protective gear when striking isn't allowed. It's just wrestling, it's a recognized sport in other parts of the world, and it's less dangerous than martial arts (again because there's no striking allowed).

How about kids living on drinks and drugs, causing injuries by jumping and stamping on other peoples heads, would you call that a "rule" ? The point of asking kids to take up sport is to make sure that none of them follow the sort of crap that influences their minds, like GTA for example.

where you getting all that from, drugs and drinks, except for that article? did you watch the actual video?
it's not drunk people in a shady barn, smoking weed, swinging pulls of beer around while wildy screaming and spitting, throwing bundles of money at eachother to make bets, while two kids beat eachother bloody, bashing teeth out and screaming for dear life whilst getting pounded into the dirt.
it's a bunch of adults, fairly quietly watching two kids having a closely watched wrestling match.
I've had more barbaric basketball games. it's just the age I have issues with.

Fairly quietly watching two kids having a closed watched wrestling match? You dont seem to get the point why they would be wrestling in there, unless their fathers signed an agreement to watch the spectacle itself, but right now its all over our newspapers saying that it should be banned due to the gross nature of how serious the matter is, bringing 8-9 year olds to something they had never been into.

What you're talking about isn't even remotely related to the article or what actually happened.
There was no drinking or drugs involved for the kids. It wasn't even hinted at even in the linked articles, so I don't know how you managed to come up with that.
Stamping wasn't allowed - that's part of the 'no strikes' rule of that type of wrestling. No strikes means no punching, kicking, stamping, or any other sort of boxing or martial arts move. Just grappling, and the danger from that is probably less than it is from a sport like rugby.
And I'd assume the point of them wrestling there was for them to have fun in a sport that's pretty normal in the States, but never took off over here. I don't see the problem with that.

Forget the drink and drugs and try and figure out the true problem of this situation.

You brought up the drink and drugs in the first place.
I don't see a problem with the situation, because I think its good for kids to be able to try out sports they might enjoy, in a safe environment.

*scratches head*
Not sure if your serious.
I can name a number of sports off hand which use not protection at all. Most of which are full contact.
Even Rugby, pretty sure they only wear gum shields and thats a very full contact sport.
