Corrections for "Nav Tree Next to Forum Jump"

Apologies if I have posted this in the wrong section.

I am a moderator for a ProBoards forum. I noticed some code in our forum's Global Footer which was causing the Add Tags and Add Smilies sections of the Post Message form to break. Specifically, the code found here:

I was able to fix the problem, and I thought it may be helpful to someone if I post a solution. Here is the modified code:
