So...is it like against the rules to remove the "Gift" tab seen while viewing profiles and the "Badges" tab when editing a profile?
I'm not asking how to remove them...because I already know how...just want to make sure I don't get in trouble for it. I think Proboards deserves every dollar they make since well...Proboards is amazing. I simply just don't see a use for Gifts/Badges on my forum and I'm pretty sure none of my members will use it unless it will have further purposes in the future or useful plugins...right now though I think it's a pretty slim chance to find someone willing to pay a dollar for an image of a potato or cookie...well the cookie might stand a better chance >>;
Not only that but...I run a Pokemon site and some of my members thought the badge tab had to do with...well Gym Badges and yea...misunderstandings. I guess I could just rename the tab. Not only that but since I adjusted the size my forum for my side tables, the badges tab goes down and creates a second row which is unsightly. Again I guess I could resize the tabs to fix this if we are not allowed to just remove the tabs. If we are allowed to remove them though then I could also share the one simple line of code one needs to paste into their CSS to get rid of the Gift and Badges tab.
Thanks for the time in advance.

Ty,
These are not to be removed unless your forum is ad-free.
There actually more to the badge system than we have explained so far. More details on that soon.

When a forum goes ad-free will this be a default option, or will manual removal still be required?

There will be no default option provided; and this policy is subject to change FYI. We are still fleshing out all the details, but most likely the requirement will be ad-free.

Alright thanks for answer Patrick. I do have plans in mind to make my forum ad-free...so I will keep this in mind.

Any updates to this?
My forum just got updated. We do not want the Gift or the Badges features.
Thanks.

These are not to be removed unless your forum is ad-free. This is still the policy.
