Nice and easy this one. =]
Admin Panel -> Themes -> Layout Templates -> Mini Profile
Approx line 27 should read the following;
{if $[user.is_online]}<br /><span class="italic">Member is Online</span>{/if}
Replace it with the following line, and voila!
{if $[user.is_online]}<br /><span style="color: #FF0000; font-weight: bold;">I am online</span>{/if}
The red text can be replaced with any other hex colour you like, too.

Would like to report that it does not work in Explorer and Chrome It shouldn't be this code that does it. Are you sure you've made the changes correctly and are you viewing the theme you made the changes to? Check in another browser like Firefox or Opera. |

I have firefox and there it appears. But when I check in explorer (older version though) and Chrome it doesn't appear. And I've done as it is said above.

This isn't something that should break between browsers. =/ For what it's worth, I use Chrome as my main browser, and often check in Fx as well.
Any chance you could post up the entire template for us to have a look at, and the URL to the forum you're using it on? =]
