I was viewing them in the non linear format. So they come up as tiles. But, in that view they are very stretched out with no information below any of them. I was wondering if it would be possible to give them a frame, like they have in the linear viewing format with the same type of info that you can see in the linear format. Obviously it would be a smaller section being each photo would be smaller. Also if you could put a "previous" and "next" buttons on either side of the photo window that pops up when you click on a thumbnail photo to make it larger.
Another Idea that I had would be a film stripe linear view of the thumbnails at the bottom while the currently centered thumbnail would be displayed as a larger photo above. Here a few of visual ideas to help as I might not be explaining it well enough.
I like this one the most.

We have noticed that the title sometimes appears above, and sometimes below the image. I'm not certain about this, but it seems to behave the same way in any individual gallery, but across galleries it is not consistent. We would like the title to always appear above the image.

The problem with putting the info below the thumbnails is the lack of space. It's not so bad if it's only a line or two, but some do have full explanations of where or how the picture was taken, especially if there are several fields that can be filled in. I will look into adding that as an option for the thumbnail view though. I like the idea of a 'next/previous' option with the enlarged image, BUT that would only work with images on the current page of the gallery, you'd still have to switch pages to view the rest of the images on larger galleries. I will try to add that as a feature.

Thanks.
Could there be a character limit put on each or a total limit on all the lines to make it fit? Seems possible.
Also, is there a way to make the last option with them film strip of photos underneath the larger photo? That would be completely awesome!!!!
Looking forward to the updates! Super Excited!

Here is a gallery where the titles display above the images: aboveand here is one where the titles display below the images: belowWhich behavior was intended? This one is wrong, kind of... The plugin is actually working correctly, the reason the image is below the Title is because sloaner has added the image into the 'Comments' field, notice that they have also made the images links. It seems they have tried to add the image URLs to the appropriate field, but the links are broken, and so the 'correct' images are not being displayed. To get over that they have put them in the Comments field instead. For example, in the first entry, they have this image... http://s9.postimg.cc/*********/1528_October_19_2015.jpgBut the image they added to the Image URL field is... http://postimg.org/*********/1528_October_19_2015.jpgNote they have missed out the 's9.' part of the URL.

Both should be possible. Having the 'film strip' of photos along the bottom could cause issues for those with a laower resolution though, as they would either automatically drop to a new line, or if the film strip is enforced, stretch your forum horizontally.

It seems they have tried to add the image URLs to the appropriate field, but the links are broken, and so the 'correct' images are not being displayed. To get over that they have put them in the Comments field instead. Thank you very much for taking a look Todge! Actually, it is the postimage.org plugin that puts the URL into the comment field! We have to then cut&paste the URL into the proper field and erase the string from the comment field. While it makes posting images pretty easy, there are some bugs with it and the author is utterly unresponsive to any inquires. What you are seeing is the workaround that we used to have to do to get images to work in the gallery when using the postimage.org plugin. That is not longer needed, but not everyone has gotten the word about the process. So anyway, it sounds like the intended placement of the Title is below the image; any chance that could be changed or made an option?

I can't change the plugin itself to put the title above the image, as the code relies on a specific syntax in order to layout the gallery correctly.
It may be possible to create a footer code that will move it for you though. I'll take a look.

Is there a way to link the "upload attachment" option for the site that uses storage that we pay for to upload images to the galleries?

In discussing if we want to enable the non-linearly mode, I was asked if there can be fewer/larger thumbnails. They do seem rather small and a lot of wasted white space around them. I was also asked if the display mode could be made user-selectable.

I was also asked if the display mode could be made user-selectable. You can change the thumbnail size by adding this to your forum CSS .gallery-image { max-width: 250px!important } The amount of thumbnails per page is dictated by how many posts you have per page, that can be set in your forum settings. As for making the display member selectable, that is possible. I'll look into adding that to the next update, but I'm afraid it won't be done until the new year, as I'm away for the holidays.

Any update on this at all? Sorry for the delay. I have been playing with the coding, but have not come up with anything I'm happy with yet. I will TRY to get something done over the coming weekend, but it's a busy time for me right now, so that may not be possible. Ans then I'm away for Christmas, so if I miss this weekend, I'm afraid nothing will be done until the New Year.
