solariatest1.freemessageboards.com/thread/6128/iridiths-4th-clutch-hatching-npcAs you can see there we use the [hightlight] code on our forum to make some of our text colours easier to read on certain skins. This doesn't seem to work on V5... I think it was something the previous head admin added to V4 so I was wondering if there was a way to add it to V5? And a cute little button for it with the other little buttons would be awesome too ^^ (If this should be a plugin or template mod could someone please move this post?) Thanks!

I'm assuming it works like a highlighter marker. Is that correct? In that case, you could just add a background-color style to the font BBCode. Remember to add an actual font color as well so it's consistent across all of your layouts. The one I'm on here on Support has white text, so while yellow background is fine with the black text of the default layouts, it's blinding on the white text of mine. [font style="background-color:yellow;color:#000;"]Wurd, homie.[/font]Wurd, homie.

Great! That'll work really well going forward (is it possible to make a custom button for this sort of thing? I think lots of people have the codes as copy paste in their profiles so I don't think this is crucial but I haven't enquired in details, people were just mentioning it didn't work) but the conversion of the forum will leave the highlight codes in all the old posts looking ugly...
We know we have to redo lots of the tables we us but I don't think anyone could bear to go through and edit all the old posts with highlights but i guess there's no way to fix them?

You could probably request a plugin for it. I know custom buttons are possible since someone made a spoiler button.
I'm not sure how they work myself so that'll be up to them.
