When copying for example, some text from say a blog or website, then you paste it into the message box .. unlike v4, it was pretty much ... how you copied it, is how it would be pasted. However, with v5, it seems that it doesn't do this. It's more jumbled together. Paragraphs are not spaced correctly, etc. Is there some work around to ensure that when you paste such text it is pasted in the correct format? Lastly, I tried sifting through posts even using the search for this ... because I do remember this being discussed even shown .. which was, how to change the text link in the news fadar ... and if possible, the correct way to use the coding to make such a thing happen. Thanks for any help given ..

Hi M³, In v5 when you use the visual editor to create your posts, when you paste in content, the visual mode will attempt to retain any styling information that was made in the content that you copied. Unfortunately this can sometimes produce undesirable results. It's advised that if you are copying content into a post, you'll want to switch to BBCode mode using the tab at the bottom-left corner of the message area when typing a reply and paste in that mode. This will not try to retain any of the styling data and will have the text appear as it is pasted For the news fader, the text will appear in the color set for the primary text color for containers. This can be found by visiting the Colors & Styles area of the admin panel, then navigate to Forum > Body (Content) > Containers > Text

Actually, with the newsfadar text .. I meant to say ... text link. I want to change the text link color in the newsfadar. My bad, on not being clear.

The link color in news items should inherit the link color you have set for the theme that you're viewing the forum with (ie., in the Colors & Styles page, navigate to Forum > Text Styles > Default Forum Text > Links / Active / Visited / Hover). But in terms of making the link in the news fader a different color from the rest of the forum, it does not appear that the color UBBC tag can be used in the news fader, so I'm not really sure myself on how you would be able to do that unfortunately. If anyone else that sees this topic knows, though, feel free to chime in
