Alright so I know that advanced tables and inline styling css is already supported for v5...but some properties don't work such as float, position, display and z-index. I already addressed this issue in this thread but I would like to know if these properties are going to be added? I think at least float and display would be great in order to help style certain layouts in a post. I was not sure where to ask about it and I was wondering if there was a reason why these properties don't work right now and whether or not any of them were going to be added any time soon. Thanks.

Any element that can be used to break the layout of the forum itself will not be supported. These all fall into that category. So sorry, but that's a no.

Any element that can be used to break the layout of the forum itself will not be supported. These all fall into that category. So sorry, but that's a no. I've applied various float and display properties to the .message class using the stylesheet as well as browser developer tools and I've not managed to get it to break the layout. The overflow properties on .message mainly stop you from breaking the layout. While I know you're more familiar with the layouts given that you wrote the software, I'd like to know how you managed to use float/display/clear (display and z-index would indeed break the layout) inside a post to break the layout.

I'm sorry but I don't really understand how using float inside a post could break the layout of the site I don't really care about the other properties I listed so much since I could see how they might be a problem...I just want my float property please, ily

If you want to give me access I can break your forum layout with a float easily. It's not a matter of me giving you specifics. Trust me, it can be done. Someone just using malformed code could do it accidentally. But if you want to give people access to stuff like that you can totally do so on your own forum using plugins. But we aren't going to support these things by default. Here's a plugin that shows you how easy it is to customize posts and their properties yourself. Post Background Image.pbp (1.13 KB) This was an experiment for something completely different, but it might be a good place for you to start and use as reference. Thank you.

Alright I understand, so instead of a built in feature we have to go to plugins if we wish to allow (and trust) the members of our site to handle and use such properties
Well thank you for the time Ryan and answering my curious questions.
