I'm wondering how to change the width of my shoutbox? In the shoutbox settings, you have the option to change the height, but not width. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Just realized that I probably should've posted this in the Support board or something, since this board is for general discussion. *facepalm*

The width isn't specified, so it's always the width of your forum (or if you moved it, whatever it's contained in). Regardless, you may add this to the bottom of your style sheet in Themes > Colors & Styles > Style Sheet to change its width. Change the text in red to your desired width.

Thank you so much Brian! That worked perfectly. If you wanna know why I needed the width changed, you can probably tell from the home page: nallonroch.boards.net/. Again, thank you!

Brian, sorry for the double post... to add on to the topic of a shoutbox, how would I make it so that the words don't break? I changed the CSS to word-break:normal; but it didn't do anything different. And my second question, how do I remove or lessen the space between shouts? I couldn't find that in the CSS either lol. Thank you!

Perfect once again Brian Thank you so much, again! Now, how to remove or otherwise lessen the space after each shout/message?

Change 10px to your desired distance.

Worked again! <3 Now one last question... if I wanted every other message to be a slightly different text color, how would I do that, if it's even possible? xD I'm so sorry for bugging you so much Brian, you must have at least a thousand things on your to-do list. EDIT: I swear this is the last thing I'm going to ask you about the shoutbox. If you visit here, you will see "open cbox" in the bottom right corner, and if you click it, it shows the cbox and also an option to "close cbox." I know this was using Cbox instead of Proboard's new Shoutbox, but I'm trying to duplicate that so that users can show or hide the cbox. I've looked at the code to try and copy it somehow, but I can't figure it out. Would you be able to tell me know to create the same effect, except with my shoutbox on this site?

That could work, but I'd rather have it look like it does on the site that I provided. Thank you so much for trying to help me, Tressa!

Have you tried putting the shoutbox in the Peekaboo Right Side plugin. It opens from the side rather than the bottom, but it is the closest I've seen to the example you show.

I'd request a plugin for the second one. I know it would be possible with Javascript. I think the first one is possible with a Layout Template change. PM me to remind me and I'll have a gander at it when I get home.

Sounds great, sorry for my lack of message, I've been busy the past day :/ I'll go ahead and send you one now!
As for the second one, you're right - it does use Javascript. I just know diddly squat about that. lol
