In the admin theme manager I can find every image except that one. I would like to change it to something more bold and bright. Am i missing something?

Greetings,
The "new" icon is actually not an image. It is a <span> with the class .new-icon. You can use a CSS selector to change it. if you need help with CSS, check in the code and plugin boards.

Ok thanks, I think I understand. So in simple terms, can I easily change it to this?

That's possible. Try adding this to the bottom of your style sheet in Themes > Colors & Styles > Style Sheet. Brian does that change every instance the NEW display appears? That's just for threads. If you want it done everywhere, remove everything preceding .new-icon for both selectors. You'll also need to change the height and width to the dimensions of your image.

It has soooo many color and look configs I'm fine with it.

I guess I'm missing something... if I change the "New" button this way here: Just to add to RedBassett. You can edit the text for this (colour, weight, style) simply. Just go to Admin > Themes > Colors and Styles > Content (body) > New icons it changes only in the "Legend", otherwise it seems I'm unable to change its font... Adding this code here: That's just for threads. If you want it done everywhere, remove everything preceding .new-icon for both selectors. You'll also need to change the height and width to the dimensions of your image. puts the chosen icon really everywere, even if there's nothing new to read... Any help?

Thanks much! That worked great. There is a black square border around it, but that is fine.

How do I get rid of it?? I get that anomaly when I add the image url to collapsible categories (when categories are collapsed)?

OK, I figured it out on my own. I somehow linked my Tabs to that "new" image by mistake. All is well now thanks again!
