Need Help w/Mini Pagination and Quoting Text

My users are happy with the upgrade but have asked for two things I don't know how to do:

1.  In the mini-pagination line below a thread name, in the last version the unread page numbers were in bold font.  Now, it's hard to know which page the new posts begin on, and this is confusing.   Is there a way to restore this in V5?

2.  How do I edit the font when users quote someone's post?  Right now, it is a large font and I'd like to make it smaller and italicized.

I can't help you with #1 but #2 you can add this to the bottom of your style sheet.

Admin > Themes > Colors & Styles > Style Sheet

Can you explain or post a screen cap of what you mean. I guess I'm not used to V5 terminology yet as I don't know what "mini pagination" means or where it is you are talking about. I'm sure someone else does but in case no one gets to this thread, it would help a lot.
