When I create a message and want to send it I have to press the Bottom CREATE MESSAGE Button
Where would I go to change the button from CREATE MESSAGE to SEND MESSAGE.
Sorry if that sounds pathetic but it just annoys me.
PS V5 Allows me to be much more creative. It took a while but I think its a great improvement over V4

In the PM area? If so, go to Admin > Themes > Layout Templates > Conversations Page On line 3, you should see: <ul class="controls">{if $[create_conversation_button]}<li>$[create_conversation_button]</li>{/if}</ul> Replace that with the below: <ul class="controls">{if $[create_conversation_button]}<li><a href="$[create_conversation_button.href]">Send Message</a></li>{/if}</ul>

Hi Stinky.
Many thanks for taking the time to reply.
Unfortunately this changes the Top CREATE MESSAGE button to SEND MESSAGE. This is the one to actually create the message.
After writing the message in order to send it there is another CREATE MESSAGE button at the bottom right of the written message. This is the one Id like to change to SEND MESSAGE. Sorry for the imposition.
Jim

Hi Stinky. Trying to describe where this button is I go to MESSAGES which takes me to my inbox. Then I click on the top CREATE MESSAGE button which takes me to the area where I can type my message. This is the box where I can switch between VISUAL or BBC CODE Just under this is a long thin horizontal box which contains the text "This message will start a single conversation between x recipients" at the end of this box is the CREATE MESSAGE button I would like to change to SEND MESSAGE. This is a screenshot of where it is. Iys no big deal if it cant be changed Ill just have to live with it. Thanks whatever happens Jim Attachments:

Admin Home > Themes > Layout Templates Click on "Posting Page". You should then be on the "Posting Page" template. Scroll down until you get to line 62, which looks like this... <span class="float-right">$[form.post.button]</span> Replace this part... $[form.post.button] ...with one of the below... {if $[type] == "Conversation"}<script>document.write('$[form.post.button]'.replace("Create", "Send"));</script>{else}$[form.post.button]{/if} OR {if $[type] == "Conversation"}<input type="submit" value="Send Message" tabindex="4" name="post">{else}$[form.post.button]{/if} Why the option? The first one uses JavaScript to replace the text of the button, it works fine, but it's a little messy. The second one creates the button manually, the problem with this one is that ProBoards could change something in the future which could break that manual button. I doubt it, but you never know. Which one should you use? Either, they both do the job, and if there is a issue in the future, just come back.

Hi Peter
Many Many Thanks for that. It works perfectly.
I have now completed my Beta forum and it looks exactly how I want it too. Well done Proboards I find it a nice improvemenet on V4

Peter similar to this, but in the post reply field, where can I find the Create Post button to make this same type of change to have the button text read Post Reply? I thought I read it somewhere earlier, but can't find it.

... where can I find the Create Post button to make this same type of change to have the button text read Post Reply? I thought I read it somewhere earlier, but can't find it. I guess/hope something like this: {if $[type] == "Conversation"} <script>document.write('$[form.post.button]'.replace("Create", "Send"));</script> {elseif $[type] == "Post"} <script>document.write('$[form.post.button]'.replace("Create", "Add") .replace("Post", "Reply"))</script> {else}$[form.post.button]{/if} instead of this: {if $[type] == "Conversation"}<script>document.write('$[form.post.button]'.replace("Create", "Send"));</script> {else}$[form.post.button]{/if} could work...
