Since my feature request was denied since it can be accomplished with a plug-in I figured I'll just copy-paste my request here.
I'd like to see Thread Description's that are visible underneath the subject while browsing boards. On other sites I see it used to tag members, describe what the threads about or just for random things.
Basically it would look something like this once posted.
------------------------------------ What do you guys think? Bob, Mary, Sue, Joe, John. ------------------------------------ Random thread with no description ------------------------------------ CUTE PUPPIES! Anyone who loves cute puppies! ------------------------------------ OMG!!!!1!! Random Burger place is epic! ------------------------------------ Lets Beg PROBOARDS! We want Thread Descriptions, lol.

I suppose I can give it a go. I'll try and have it done by the end of the weekend.

Would you be able to make it so you can enable/disable it on a per board basis? Maybe have a "select all boards/categories", and then a "add board/category" for single boards/categories... ? Would really appreciate it if so, since I only need/want it for one board.

Neat idea! Will it be Possible to use the @tagging in the description? That would make me so happy!
(this plugin will make me pretty happy anyway but just for extra happiness)
Sent from phone, please forgive typos!

Works for new posts! It looks a bit clunky to me because of the 'Description:' (but that's just personal opinion) Alright, how would you have it then? You can't edit it once the thread has been created though? Which would be a really helpful feature. I just added in the edit feature so you can change the description, and you can edit old threads to add in a description. I'll add that in.

I'd just have it without anything. The thread title's are links so look different text wise. If it was totally up to me I might go for 80/90% of the thread title font size or something but it's really subjective (as I said just my opinion that it looked clunky ^^)
Epic on the edit and displaying in the recent threads!
EDIT: And I'd ditch the 'Thread' in the 'Thread Description' when you're creating the thread seeing as just above it it says 'Subject' rather than 'Thread Subject' but again just my idle opinion.

Hi shorty, the only real problem I see/find with this, is the actual text area and text for "Thread Description". It stretches to be the whole side of the posting page. Any changce to remove the wording "Thread Description" because that goes to two lines? Perhaps move it to be IN the text area, as like on here in the quick search it says "search.."

ShortyPlease make sure the property in "proboards.data" exists (in your case the "board" property when people set it for specific boards), as you are currently causing errors for those using it.

Awesome, I'm pretty happy with it as all I cared for is being able to have a description in the first place. The only thing that irks me is that this is how it shows up on my board.
-------------------------------- Testing plug-in Description: test test test test --------------------------------
Is it possible to remove the portion that says Description?
