I plan to upgrade this week, once the betazone is back up and I can export my layouts. How long does it take to upgrade once I request it? thank you It depends on how long the waiting list is, but as far as I can tell, it is not long nowadays. Even if it were long, it takes about 30 minutes at the most. But if there is no waiting list, the conversion is basically instant.

I plan to upgrade this week, once the betazone is back up and I can export my layouts. How long does it take to upgrade once I request it? thank you It varies based on a number of factors: Size of your forum, size of the forums in front of yours, and your place in the queue. Unfortunately without most of this information it would be very difficult to give you an accurate estimate. It could be a matter of minutes, or hours.

just so long it isn't days - lol. I can handle hours. If it gives you any idea, Slightly Insane has over 260,000 posts, 24,000 topics and 20,000 members. It only took a matter of a few minutes to convert/upgrade from V4 to V5 (literally a few minutes).

bully1970, the rolling converter is taking longer than initially projected to make its way to all v4 forums due to some unexpected issues, but you can always opt-in to update from the link at the top of the admin panel (assuming you're the main admin)

If you've opted-out: Your forum will not upgrade to version 5 until the end of the year, December 31st, 2013. There is no way to retain version 4 on your forum after this deadline. (v5 ETA: Dec. 31st 2013)
If you've done nothing: Your forum is (somewhere) in a long queue of forums waiting to upgrade to version 5. Initially we projected that all forums within this category would be upgraded by May 29th, but due to some hiccups we've had to push this back a bit. (v5 ETA: whenever it gets around to you)
If you've opted-in: If you've followed the link in your admin control panel and clicked on the button indicating you'd like to upgrade, your forum is ahead of the rest of v4 forums and will be provided with version 5 much sooner than those who did nothing. As of the time of this post, our converter is paused for maintenance, but we hope it have it going again soon. (v5 ETA: either minutes or hours, if opt-in converter is running)

I am having problems registering my site ukoldieschat.boards.net/I'm a bit of a computer numpty and in my seventies so bear with me! Thank you Arena What are the details of your problems? And also, I suggest making a new post in the support board. There is a better chance of getting good help there. Other than that, what is it you have done to attempt registering for V5?

Your forum itself is still V4. If you want to convert to V5 immediately, your main admin can opt-in via the link above their admin panel. If you have further questions, feel free to create a thread over in the support board and we can assist you further
