yeah i had some major glitches on a proboards forum earlier last year *refer to my thread "account hack"*. i dont even know why i decided to try this server out agian for whatever reason. Comments like that are not needed if you dislike the service. Have a look at the probard's support rules about posting replies that don't help members. Might help keep you from getting a warning while the others are trying to help this person. Thanks.

That ought to be a clue, ya think? It's just not something that a "glitch" will do. already been said above Diamondsky, it is possible that it could happen if yo are on dialup, if someone with a similar IP is banned, you could be caught up in the ban. only way is to contact the admin of that board (through another member as storm suggested maybe) and see if you are actually banned. a staff member of that board could check the banlist if you can get hold of one. No, I don't think it would be possible. I don't have dial-up. I have contacted the admin of that board...he is the only staff member. I have contacted another member and she did post for me. I don't believe that comment "this isn't something a glitch would do", yes, I think it is, and yes it happened more than once, to people that had no reason to be banned. I just want someone to look into it instead of getting snippy remarks from some of the posters here (not you All seeing eye)

I feel that I must say something along this problem. I have the same problem. It is an issue with AOL. If you are using AOL, then some setting on it applies this message. You have not be banned from a forum, it just shows that you have. Try looking at it using your browser instead of the AOL. That should solve your problem for future reference.

I'm also a member on the forum diamond sky is talking about. The same problem has happened atleast 4 or 5 different times. In one case, one of the members actually had to contact proboards to get them to fix the problem. She could be banned, but I doubt it. The moderator of our forum isn't exactly around a whole lot (if at all.) Diamond only came here to get some help, so give her a break. Nonsense - there is nothing anyone from ProBoards can do to "fix the problem" at any forum.
