I was directed to the template board from this support thread for further assistance in trying to to find out what is preventing the CSS transition effect for links from working, but this board seems more appropriate for CSS help. I'd appreciate any help I could get. axcellent2.proboards.com site url

Hi, Cyprien I use a slightly different code than the one given on that thread. Perhaps it will work for you. I do change my themes almost daily and not all have the effect. So I hope you read this soon. Either code goes on the style sheet. For this effect on the theme in this ~ Link ~ I use this code ~ a:hover { transition: all 0.5s ease-in-out 0s; color: #05615f; } And on my test board for the current theme in this ~ Link ~ I use this ~ a:hover { transition: all 0.5s ease-in-out 0s; color: #05615f; word-spacing: 5px; } As you can see, the second changes the spacing of the words on hover as well as the color. Of course, you would change the hex color #s to those of your choice. The effect doesn't work in Windows 7 ~ IE 8. I don't know about newer versions though. Perhaps this will work for you.

The first code is the effect I am looking for, but none of them seem to be working for me.

I'm sorry. How odd. I was hoping the slightly different code language might have done the trick. You are placing it in the Style Sheet, correct?

Have you asked Brian or David Clark? They are both very good at figuring out what's preventing code from working properly.

Yeah, it's all in the style sheet. I haven't tried contacting anyone directly, I've just posted in the boards that the support staff directed me too.

I'm by no means an expert on CSS ~ but try this ~
a:hover { transition: all 0.5s ease-in-out 0s; color: #05615f !important; }
Adding !important usually works with most stubborn CSS that isn't functioning properly.

That seemed to do the trick. Is this a bandaid fix that might cause problems later or is am I good to go?I appreciate the help, I've been struggling with this for a while lol.

Glad it worked. It can be so frustrating when something prevents CSS from working. And no, adding important won't mess up future coding. If you look at the CSS style sheet, you'll see it in other places. It is merely telling the browser to pick up something it is missing without it.

BTW, you kept my hex color # in ~ which is ok, but you can change it to any color you like.
