This has been redone: For testing I placed in my wrapper template as indicated below and it seems to work well:
$[footer]
>>the code is placed here<<
</div> {if $[is_mobile_browser]} <br /><p class="center">Switch to the $[mobile_switch_link].</p> {/if} </body> </html>
<style type="text/css"> #my_bot_bar { width: 100%; background-color: #444444; border-top: 1px solid #fff; position:relative; bottom: 0px!important; left: 0px; z-index: -1; padding:2px; <span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 10pt;">}</span> #my_bar_colms{ display:inline-block; width:140px; background-color:#000000; margin:-2px; padding: 18px; vertical-text-align: top; font-size: 10px; text-align:left; } #my_bar_colms a:link{ color:white!important; } #my_bar_titles{ width: 100%; font-size: 14px; font-weight:bold; padding-bottom: 3px; margin-top:-4px; } #my_grad_border{ width:888px; background-color: #1a82f7; background: url(images/linear_bg_2.png); background-repeat: repeat-x; background: -webkit-gradient(linear, 0% 0%, 0% 100%, from(#1a82f7), to(#2F2727)); background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #2F2727, #1a82f7); background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #2F2727, #1a82f7); background: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #2F2727, #1a82f7); background: -o-linear-gradient(top, #2F2727, #1a82f7); <span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 10pt;">}</span> </style>
>>First part of copyright code goes here<<
<div id="my_bot_bar"> <center> <div id="my_grad_border"> <div id="my_bar_colms"> <center><div id="my_bar_titles" style="color:#ff0000;">Title One</div></center> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> </div> <div id="my_bar_colms"> <center><div id="my_bar_titles" style="color: green;">Title One</div></center> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> </div>
<div id="my_bar_colms"> <center><div id="my_bar_titles" style="color: yellow;">Title One</div></center> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> </div>
<div id="my_bar_colms"> <center><div id="my_bar_titles" style="color: blue;">Title One</div></center> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> </div>
<div id="my_bar_colms"> <center><div id="my_bar_titles" style="color: aqua;">Title One</div></center> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> </div> <div id="my_grad" style="clear:left;">
>>Second part of copyright code goes here<<
</div>
</div> </center> </div>
Once you get the colors and styles edited in the css then you may want to move the css (without the style tags) to the bottom of your style sheet. Let me know if it works o.k. for you.

Thanks Tumbleweed for quick reply!, Yea the code works. I've put it on my global footer to test it out. But looks awkward and not close to what i thought it would be. guctest.proboards.com/Is that where you intend for the code to remain, in your footers. I'm sure that's putting it in the wrapper which doesn't let it be at the bottom is my guess. I admit I forgot about the copyright space but I figured you could style it to look like that but if you want me to make it look exactly like that, I can. I know I only gave you 3 columns too but you can just copy this part.... <div id="my_bar_colms"> <center><div id="my_bar_titles">Title One</div></center> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> <a href="http://link.com">Link One</a><br /> </div> ....and paste it before that last closing </div> and then edit the css for how wide you want each column here .... #my_bar_colms{ float: left; width :300px; Other than that, can you explain what you mean by it looking awkward? I know what I don't like viewing it on your site. I don't like that it doesn't span the whole page or more of it. I don't like that it is stuck to the bottom of your last side table. What else is awkward so I can fix it all in one bang? Thanks. Edited to add, I can add classes/id's to pick up your forum colors/skin colors if you prefer.

Don't matter where i put it looks to the left. Yes i would gladly appreciate it if you help adding the copyright space needed. Yea i added the other two pillars. I just never got the hang of css >.<" Are these lines css or something else? I've been researching and i think it's www.w3schools.com/css/css_image_sprites.aspBut i am still not that far ahead learning that. I go slow on the learning... And last, don't mind me looking awkward i am sure i can style it later to look for my needs. <3 Oh and when i put it on the wrapper it widens the forum :S

That is just a gradient. They use sprites to put all or most of their images on one big sheet and then use css to target what they want. I don't know that much about them either so I'm probably not explaining it properly. But you don't need to use sprites to have that effect. You just need a gradient image to use. I'm trying to work on this now but ProBoards is hanging up every time I try to save what I've done so I'm going to take a break and come back later. That said, the only way I'm able to get it to look good is if it is in a fixed position. I have an example of a different layout (not the one for you) on this test site: paviii.freemessageboards.com/It's the thing at the bottom that says click. See how it just stays there when you scroll. Would that work or do you want it to scroll with the forum? By the way, while I give Proboards a chance to fix the issues with saving, I'll work on getting a gradient so that part is set up. Edit: Was able to work on it for a bit. Let me know if this will work for you. putteraround10.freeforums.net/

I replaced what I first gave you with the updated code so go back and recopy. (I moved it to my global footers for testing so that is where you should put it). Also, I can't paste other peoples codes and I used someone elses for the copyright so it automatically updates to the new year. You can find that here: www.javascriptkit.com/script/script2/updatedcredit.shtml#.Uj8bW4b2ZCQThere are two parts to the copyright, if you want to use that one, and I indicated where they should go. I did leave some styles right in the div's themselves so you'll need to edit them to your liking. Any questions or problems, post back. Edit: Almost forgot. You'll need to go in your wrapper template and put 4 or 5 breaks at the very bottom so as not to cover any Proboards info at the bottom.

<br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Ok i have done everything guctest.proboards.com/But one little thing that bugs me. It scrolls with the page? Can't it be static. I've put the html code inside the wrapper. Can the css be mod to stay static? Sorry if you explained it but i am not understanding much the works... But did get the instructions right except putting the 5 <br />

I tested this in my global footers since that is where you said you tried it first and you didn't answer my question about if you intended the code to be there. Doesn't matter anyway since I found it changed the wrapper width whether in the footers or in the template unless it was in a fixed position.
Looking at your site, it is fixed for me or static. I checked in IE and Chrome. If it is still scrolling for you, what browser are you using? Maybe you moved to to the footers?

I'm viewing it in Chrome and it moves for me as well. It's fixed at the bottom of the screen but it almost acts like a second layer on the site, when you scroll the site moves and it just stays at the bottom of your screen and just goes on top of whatever is underneath it. I took a screenshot that shows how it just overlaps the site here.

It is another layer which is why I told яλíĐєn to go to the template and add 4 or 5 breaks so it isn't covering ProBoards stuff. Maybe our communications here is haywire. ??í??n said: Static is when something stays in one spot. That is what it does for me, it stays at the bottom. Scrolls with the page means it moves just like the forum moves when you scroll. Anyway, I checked in FF and it is in a fixed or static position for me. I was hoping I made it clear I couldn't get it to be at the bottom of the forum and move with the forum (scroll) without affecting the width. If you want ??í??n, I can just leave this for someone else to work out. I really don't know how to get that out of your wrapper and that is what it seems to do in any position other than fixed. (absolute, relative)
