Possible Spoiler Plug In Issues?

Greetings, 

Okay, so I've been having a few issues with the spoiler plug in. I can't let anyone into my site currently, because it's in the process, however, below is the link and parts of the thread that I have up currently. If there is any other way to make drop downs or fix the spoiler, I would love some help.. Perhaps it's even a user error that I'm unaware of. (Pretty much, just me missing something or another.) Let me know, and thanks in advance.

Hello!

First off, I'd like to simply say that the link posted for help is under maintenance. Hopefully, this won't deter you from helping me out. I am currently working on setting up my forum and do not wish it to be open for anyone yet.

With that said, let's hope I can explain this question properly.


I was wondering if when a user, such as myself goes to post within a thread, if I can collapse some text within a post. As an example, I have a Role-Play site in progress. If I wanted to collapse the different Character templates for them to be minimized and/or maximized, is this possible? I'm not talking side bars or peekaboo bars. I'm talking in a thread. Like the one I'm posting in now. I was wondering if there was some code for that?

I just tried this on my test forum, and I have no problem naming a spoiler 'The worlds biggest Spoiler'.

May I ask which browser you are using? And do you have anything in your censored words list?

I am currently using safari on my ipad and no censored words either.

Hmmm...

Plugins do not work on mobile browsers. I have no idea if the iPad's Safari browser is considered a mobile browser, but that may be the reason.

Do the other plugins you have installed on your forum work with the iPad?

Yes, everything works just perfectly. Is there possibly another way to code drop downs in the thread?

It could be recoded to not utilise the standard PB spoiler tags. I'll see if I can put something together for you tomorrow.

As for this plugin, can you rename the spoilers at all? Or does it only fail on 'The worlds biggest Spoiler'?

It let's me rename it, but as soon as I go in and edit the text that i put within the spoiler, it 'trips' it and renames it back to 'Spoiler'

OK.. So does it default back to 'Spoiler' when edited no matter what you originally name it, or only with 'The worlds biggest Spoiler'?

It just defaults it back to spoiler. So say I have a long message in there. I go to make it bold, add some things it trips it. Same with making the title bold within the little { } I only go within the little brackets where the name is, not over the whole piece of beginning code.

This is NOT a direct replacement for the spoiler plugin, but is aimed at mimicking it. This plugin will need [drop] tags rather than [spoiler] tags.

So, you will need to post something like:-

[drop=The worlds biggest Spoiler]This is the new dropdown...[/drop]

With the red being the title and the blue being the content.

If it works, I'll expand it to add a post button and whatever other options you want in the plugin itself.
