so i've noticed on fourms like this people have been able to redirect their logging form and register fourm onto their own page instead of proboards default page so i was wondering if anyone could explain to me how it works and how it's done.

That forum is a Proboards V4.5 and not V5, so it's using the old style login/register. The new one used in V5, is how it will always be, because it's more secure.
