A lot of plugins will have their own settings associated with them. These plugin settings will allow you to customize the way a plugin functions for your forum. You can expect to see options that have toggle switches to turn certain features on and off, as well as input areas where you can place in text or coding of your own if desired, and the amount of settings offered in a plugin entirely depends on the plugin you have installed. You'll be taken to the settings page for a plugin immediately after you install the plugin on your forum, but you can always return to the plugin settings by doing the following:
Once there you'll see a list of plugins; directly click on the name of the plugin you would like to modify from the plugins list. On the next page you'll see the About section for the plugin. This page will give you a general overview of what the plugin does, and may include a link to go to for additional support if you're stuck with something related to the plugin.
If a plugin has additional settings that you can modify, there will be additional tabs that will display to the right of the About tab that appears in orange toward the top of the page. Click on any tabs that may appear to review the options available for you to modify. When reviewing the options available to you, you may see a icon to the right of the title of an option on the page. If you place your mouse cursor over this icon, additional info will display to you which may provide more specifics regarding the impact a setting imposes on the plugin. After you are done making modifications, click the "Save Changes" button found at the very bottom of the page.
Some plugins cannot not be enabled until certain settings have been configured. If this is the case, a message will display towards the top of the plugin settings page with more information concerning which settings must be specified. Be sure to review all settings to ensure any given plugin behaves as you intend it to.
