Forum URL: wlstest2.proboards.com/board/9/general-boardThe above url is to my test board which I have upgraded. I am missing: my banner the custom buttons under the banner the favicon the rocks image that replaced the dividers and the "You are awesome member" at the top of the board. The url to the actual working board is: weightlosssurgery.proboards.com/index.cgiI was smart enough to put the theme together myself and can probably follow directions pretty well. But, I am in the midst of therapy for cancer and I am finding this overwhelming. I appreciate any assistance I can get. Thank you! Kelly

Kelly Your test forum is set so guests must login, so we can't actually see/help fully. However, to place your banner back, just go to: Admin > Themes > Colors & Theme CreatorOn that page near the bottom you should see (on the left side) it say Forum Banner and just below are options for your banner, such as Banner Image. Upload your image to there using the icon on the right hand side (it looks like a piece of paper with an upwards arrow).
Your custom buttons, are they images or CSS (or some form of coding)?
Follow the instructions in here for your Favicon: support.proboards.com/thread/442900/adding-favicon-board?page=1
The Rocks Icon, I assume you mean your title bars? If so, do the following: Admin > Themes > Colors & Theme CreatorAgain, at the bottom left, you will see "Style Options", this time look for "Gradients". There, you can upload or link to your rock icon.
Where does "You Are Awesome Member" show on your current forum? As a guest I can not see it. Perhaps a screenshot would be best so then we can tell you how to get it back (it shouldn't be too difficult, hopefully)

I tried to upload my banner, but I can't seem to get it the right size. I'm still searching for my rocks gradient on my v4 active board. My buttons under the banner must be code as I can't locate them under board images. I haven't done the favicon, yet, but I need to take a break. ----------------- --Main Header-- ----------------- <script> document.write("<b>You are awesome " + pb_username + ".</b>"); </script> Screen shot attached Attachments:

When you say you can't get the banner to fit. Have you changed the width of the forum yet? This can be changed in the same place as you applied the banner.
If you want a set banner, you will need to change the with of the forum from it's default % to a px width which mathes the size of the banner you want.

Does the banner HAVE to be the same width as the forum? In my v4 board, it is not as wide as the forum. To make it fit now makes the forum too narrow. Thank you for your help!

Your forum looks really great. But, my menu buttons are aligned totally different. I don't have much time for experimentation. I am really over my head with this at the moment. Is there any way I could pay someone to do it for me? Something reasonable like $30?

Hi,
I went in and fixed some things up for you, other than the menu bar/buttons is there anything else that you're still missing?

Hi, I went in and fixed some things up for you, other than the menu bar/buttons is there anything else that you're still missing? How awesome of you to do that. Thanks! When the working board is upgraded will your steps be easy for me to to follow? There is a transparent frame around the board that makes it look not so stark, how do I do that? And I am going to have to find a code for the buttons? I am mostly interested in the appearance for now. I can nip and tuck the features once I have the place looking the same as before. Thank you so much for your help!

Thank you so much for your help! I can help with the transparent frame and the buttons, don't worry about that! After all the visual modifications are done, when your forum actually converts all you'll have to do is export the theme from this test board to your computer, and then import that theme to your new forum. No setup or copying required. Edit: Are you happy with the forum width as it is? I can make it larger to more closely mimic the old one.

Alright, I made a few concessions because v5 is slightly different than v4, but if there is something that you don't like we can change it. Let me know what you think!

Is it possible to center the buttons under the banner and change the color of the bar they are on? Can all the category titles be centered? Yes, I would prefer a larger width. That is so awesome that it will be so easy to transfer it to the working board. Thank you SO much for your help! You are a hero!

I can breathe again! I've been holding my breath with worry over this. How much time to I have before the automatic upgrade? If I add applications will they be transferred with the theme as well? Is this theme now titled the "Default theme"? Thanks again!

I can center the buttons under the banner, but the reason that I haven't already done so is because of the "Welcome, USERNAME" bit of the forum. I can push this further to the right and then center the buttons? Would that work? All the forum category titles are centered. Is there a different category title you'd like centered? I changed the width to look as close as I could to the v4 forum. The automatic upgrade should be happening within the next week or so, I can't give you an exact time but I know we're flying through the last conversions before we get to the opt-out forums. You can always manually opt-in to v5 and place yourself in the queue to be upgraded. Doing so gives you priority over the other conversions. This will give you more control over when you switch, if you want to be there to place the forum in maintenance mode until you're finished setting it up, or just get it done quickly before your members visit. As long as the converter is running, moving through the queue should take no time at all (less than an hour?), and the actual conversion should also be less than an hour. Most forums convert in 5-10 min depending on the number of posts and other content. If you want my honest advice, I would wait until Thursday the 2nd (after 9AM here on the west coast) and then start the conversion yourself then by placing yourself in the queue. That way if you have any questions or need help, there will be Support staff here in the office who can answer your questions or assist as need be. Plugins (which is what you mean by applications, right?) do not transfer with the theme. You would need to manually re-add these to your forum once you convert. However, don't let that stop you from installing a few from the plugin library on your test forum and playing around with them, that way you feel comfortable and have a better idea of the plugins you'd like to use when you actually get your non-test forum up. This theme is currently titled "Default" and is the default theme on the forum. You can rename it whatever you like from the Theme Settings page (Admin>Themes>Theme Manager - hover over the theme on the page and click the "Settings" button). When you import this finished theme to your freshly converted v5 forum, if you don't wish people to see the theme that will automatically be generated with the conversion, remember to un-check the check box on the theme manager page for the theme you do not wish people to see. I hope that isn't too much to read!
