Don't fret, Perry. There is hope.

The Easy Text Switcher plugin allows admins to modify the text of certain elements around the forum that normally you can't change. Check out some of these areas you can modify using this plugin!

(the Create Thread button can be changed too)


Rename these to whatever you want!

Q: I need to change something, but I don't see it listed in the plugin settings!
A: Let me know what it is in this thread and I can probably include it in an update.


Q: Why can't I just use a find-and-replace plugin to do what this plugin does?
A: I don't recommend those routes to change element text on your forum. Yes, you can use those methods
to change "Reply" to "Respond" for example, but any time a member uses the word "Reply" that will be changed as well.
This plugin specifically targets the intended areas and strives to accurately select the listed elements - nothing else. 

Q: Why did this plugin change [insert unintended element] too?
A: We call those "bugs" - report them in this support thread!

Edit: Browser I'm Using Google Chrome - Updated with a screen-shot

I have the plugin installed - The Switching The Participated Text does not seem to be working on my forum

EDIT: I did have another switch it code I thought may have been conflicting with it
I removed that - But still had the issue with the participated button not changing the text
Also I did try disabling all other plugins in case any were conflicting - But still had the problem with the button not changing the text.
It only seems to be the participated button I am having problems with as all others have changed the text OK

Weird @xsteveuk, it's working on my forum. Whatever the problem is, I can come up with a fix for it later today.

Go ahead and grab that update off of the library, @xsteveuk. I was able to find the problem.

Had a thought: Maybe be able to change the name of the "member is online" so when they are offline it says "member is offline" instead of nothing?

ALso, read my edit about the weird problem.

I identified the problem there (only a few themes would have experienced this issue with version 1.0.1) and added in a fix, Mr. Undecided, go ahead and update the plugin to 1.0.2.

That is a very fast and easy Layout Template tweak

Yeah, what ₪» ⅀ ƪ Ƒ «₪ said, Mr. Undecided. For this plugin, I'll be focusing on areas of the forum that you can't change in your layout templates. The mini-profile is available to edit in its entirety, so this plugin wouldn't be particularly necessary to accomplish that.

You can post in the Templates section for help with that though!
