Hi Todge could you please tell me how do I empty the recent threads box please? I have had it at 50 but just re set it to 100 is it possible to just remove one or two of recent threads from the box if so how do I do this thank you As Administrator, if you click on the Recent Threads title, a pop-up will appear that will let you remove selected threads. If you want to clear it totally, you can do that and remove them all, or simply clear the key in the admin area.

As you click them they should disappear from the list, afterwards just click 'OK' and the list should be reset.

Todge said As you click them they should disappear from the list, afterwards just click 'OK' and the list should be reset. When I click on them they do not disappear and I see no OK sign to click either ? I really like this plugin todge but it does not seem to be working for me. Any thing I may be doing wrong? I really can't see what that could be. The instructions are very simple even for me lol. Ok todge I sorted it. Mine does not say OK I press to remove what I want then go to the bottom of the box and press where it says reset the key

Hi Todge! I was just looking at this again and I wondered if there were a way to have it display on the home page only? Also, is it possible to have or move these recent threads to a container on a custom page? I'd like to add it to a container on my home page. The widget for that lists the person that created the thread and since admins post most of the articles it looks like no one else posts. The recent post widget is even worse as it displays the entire post, no matter how long it is. ack. Your plug in is better in that it lists by the person that posted in the thread instead of the author. Any way, just thought I'd ask.

To display it on the Home Page only, make sure you have no boards selected in the 'About' tab, and that you have Ancillary pages set to 'No' in the Settings tab. As for displaying it on a custom page, create a cell and give it a unique ID and add that ID to 'Container ID' field in the plugin. The, somewhere near the bottom of your custom page, add this code snippet.. <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- // Display Recent Threads... set_RT(); // --> </script>

I just updated the plug in and found the Home page thing. I'll have to experiment with adding the code to a container. I tried it experimentally and it shoved everything way left. But, if I can get it into the proper container it might work. LOL

I've seen features like this on many other forums and I think this is great so thank you for making this. I wanted to know if you can make the recent threads slide from within the container. here's and example of what I mean. look to the left hand side at 'Latest Topics' forums.theonlineracingassociation.com/Is this possible Thank you S

It should be possible with some CSS trickery, but to make it scroll consistently and smoothly, I'm afraid, is beyond me.

Hey, I've installed the plugin, but it only shows threads updated by moderators and admins. I checked the permissions, and everything seems like it should allow usermade posts to show, but it doesn't. How do I fix this? (If you need to see, go to wolfvalley.freeforums.net

No. If you click it, it takes you to a post by Shard, who is a staff member. I cleared the plugin in hopes of fixing it, but it still messes up. Now it's displaying a post made by West that I moved and renamed, and if you click it, it takes you to a completely random post made by Shard

Do your members get a pop-up after they post, and if they do, are they clicking to close it?
