With that you can creat a sidebar and then add whatever you want to it, including the Recent Threads cell.

Do you think it's possible to create a box with who's online vertically as a list with forums stats below and then remove the old bottom one? If so how please? And thanks for the suggestion for the sidebar redux plugin, although now i might have more questions hehe - thanks again by the way!

But that info can only be displayed on the Home Page. It cannot reliably be displayed on any other page of your forum.

Ok, not a problem. So how do i proceed? This would require a new plugin, so if you request a plugin in the aptly named ' Request a Plugin' thread, we can go from there.

Hi Todge. I'm playing around with Recently Updated Threads and have found that one of the settings that I'm trying to change, isn't working. It's the following line that doesn't seem to work properly. I can't change the color or the size of text. .ruts_tboard>a { color: #ff1493; font-size: 10px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton '; }
Thank you.

Perhaps try putting an !important in? It tells the code to take priority over other similar codes. So if another area elsewhere is setting the color & font and therefore not letting you override it, the !important tells the code to listen to this one instead. You'd do it like: .ruts_tboard>a { color: #ff1493!important; font-size: 10px!important; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton '; }

You'd do it like: .ruts_tboard>a { color: #ff1493!important; font-size: 10px!important; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton '; } 'ruts_tboard' is not a classname used with the RUTS plugin, unless you have added that yourself.. To change the style of the links within the Recent Threads cell use the ID name recent-threads-cell instead... So.. #recent-threads-cell a { color: #ff1493; font-size: 10px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton'; }
Should do what you are trying to achieve.

Hi Todge. I've applied your code to recent threads, recent boards, recent peeps and recent time but I still can't change the size or color of the font. I'm a little dubious about whether I've used the code properly or not. I'm also unsure about lines 45, 50 and 51. Thank you.
#recent-threads-cell { background-color: #ffc87c ; } #recent-threads-cell { height: 300px; overflow: auto; } #recent-threads-cell div
#recent-threads-title, #recent-threads-cell, #extra-title, #extra-cell { position: relative; top: 1px; } #recent-threads-title, #extra-title { text-align: center; } #recent-threads-cell { color: #0c1661; font-weight: ; font-family: "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; } { font-size: 12px; } #recent-threads-cell, #extra-cell { font-size: 12px; } { padding-bottom: 18px; } #recent-threads-cell, #recent-threads-cell a { /* main font size */font-size: 12px; } #recent-threads-cell div { padding-bottom: 10px; } #recent-threads { margin-bottom: 20px; } #recent-threads-cell #recent-threads-cell a { color: black; font-size: 18px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton '; } #recent-boards-cell a { color: red; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton'; } #recent-peeps-cell a { color: grey; font-size: 10px;} #recent-time-cell a { color: red; font-size: 8px;}} #RT-Master { margin-top: 30px; } .rtcell-spacer { height: 30px; } </div>

You can condense a lot of what you have put above into a few lines.. Like so.. #recent-threads-cell { background-color: #ffc87c; height: 300px; overflow: auto; }
#RT-Master { position: relative; top: 1px; margin-top: 30px; }
#RT-Master .title-bar { text-align: center; }
#RT-Master .content { color: #0c1661; font-family: "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"; font-size: 12px; padding-bottom: 18px; }
#recent-threads-cell div { padding-bottom: 10px; }
.rtcell-spacer { height: 30px; }
These lines at the bottom have me a little flummoxed though... #recent-threads { margin-bottom: 20px; } << Will do nothing as #recent-threads does not exist #recent-threads-cell << Will do nothing, and will also stop any CSS instructions below from taking effect. #recent-threads-cell a { color: black; font-size: 18px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton '; } << Would change all the links in the Recent Threads cell black, and to a larger size than the text which was changed above. #recent-boards-cell a { color: red; font-size: 14px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton'; } << #recent-boards-cell does not exist #recent-peeps-cell a { color: grey; font-size: 10px;} << #recent-peeps-cell does not exist #recent-time-cell a { color: red; font-size: 8px;} << #recent-time-cell does not exist

Thank you Todge, that certainly looks a lot tider. What I'm trying to do though is to have the option to change the color and size of each of the cells. Earlier you gave me the code to change the recent-threads cell but I'd also like to change the board cell, the peeps cell and the time cell. Can I take your previous recent-threads code:
#recent-threads-cell a { color: #ff1493; font-size: 10px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton'; }
and then use it to change the other cells, like this?
#recent-boards-cell a { color: #ff1493; font-size: 10px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton'; #recent-peeps-cell a { color: #ff1493; font-size: 10px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton'; #recent-time-cell a { color: #ff1493; font-size: 10px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton';
Would putting that all at the bottom after .rtcell-spacer { height: 30px; } be correct?
Thank you.

Thank you. Doing that would have no effect, because #recent-boards-cell, #recent-peeps-cell and #recent-time-cell do not exist, unless you have added them yourself. Could you please explain exactly what it is you are trying to change, and ideally post a link to a guest friendly page so I can take a look and try to work out the correct CSS for you.

Hello Todge. I understand that there are four 'cells' or 'areas' of the Recently Updated Threads plugin. To me, these cells or areas are: the threads, the boards, people who have posted, and the time of the post. I want to be able to change the size and color of the text for each cell/area. www.talkaboutfootballforum.comThank you.
