Hello Todge. I understand that there are four 'cells' or 'areas' of the Recently Updated Threads plugin. To me, these cells or areas are: the threads, the boards, people who have posted, and the time of the post. I want to be able to change the size and color of the text for each cell/area. www.talkaboutfootballforum.comThank you. Ah-ha.. Gotya.. You have added class-names to each individual part of the Recent Threads within the plugin setting.. OK, so to target each area you can use this... .ruts_board { color: #ff1493; font-size: 10px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton'; }
.ruts_peep a { color: #ff1493; font-size: 10px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton'; }
.ruts_time .time { color: #ff1493!important; font-size: 10px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton'; }
I also notice that you are using version 0.3.3 of the plugin, while it is not necessary for you to update, version 0.3.6 is the latest version. It has a couple of extra functions is all.

Hello Todge. Thank you for that and sorry for not getting back sooner. All seems good now except for one thing. I added .ruts_thread to the top of your above code. I think I've got it right because it works when I change the size of the font for threads. Irritatingly though, I can't seem to change the color. This is the code I added to yours: .ruts_thread { color: #000080; font-size: 16px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton'; }
Thank you.

That would be because it's a link, and as such will be the color set previously at some other point. You can get around this by targetting the link directly instead of just the containing cell,... .ruts_thread a { color: #000080; font-size: 16px; font-weight: normal; font-family: 'Norton'; }

Todge, Is there anyway to get this to display anywhere I want it to using a placeholder container? I want to place this within the information center, not a sidebar. Thank you!

Yup, just create your container cell and give it a unique ID. Then, in the plugins' setting, add that ID to the Container ID field, and that's where it should appear.

(One of the best plugins, THANK YOU!!!) Is it possible to change the styling of font from specific boards? I would like to have have activity from one of my boards include a darker highlight so that it stands out against other listed activity.

Possibly, depending on what you have called the board(s) you want to isolate. You can target the specific boards using the 'title'.. So, if you want to style the 'general' board, you can add this to the plugin's CSS... [title~="General"] { CSS STYLING HERE; } The porblem is that it would also style any board that has 'General' in the title.. So if you have a unique title, all's good.

First of all this is a great plugin, works really well and made a nice addition to my forum. It has been noted by a few of my members that the links are sometimes incorrect and when they click on a thread within this sidebar, it actually takes them somewhere else. I am pretty certain I am still only on 0.3.6. Is this something that was altered in 0.3.7? and is there an easy way to update which version I am using within the admin controls? I don't really want to have to install it as if it was a new plugin and set it up again, just for the new version. Thanks, Matthew
Edit: I have updated to 0.3.7 and now it is not showing any threads. I kept all the settings the same, but it must have changed something, maybe within the sidebar plugin, but either way I get the tittle or "Recent Threads" but no threads have appeared bellow, despite several people posting. Any ideas? This is my forum: anythingrc.co.uk/

Can you please tell me exactly how you have set up the key permissions and if you have included any restricted threads/boards..

It looks like the key is not being written to.. Can you please tell me exactly how you have set up the key permissions and if you have included any restricted threads/boards.. I have fixed that issue now. When I updated it I used the same settings, but for some reason it had not ticked the correct box for which items get shown, so I have now made it to that any updated thread or created thread shows and it appears to be working correctly again now. There are a few restricted boards, but those are the ones that you won't be able to see without being a member of the forum or part of certain groups. Thanks.
Another interesting thing I have just noticed. The colour that our username is based off rank is not shown within the recent threads bar. For example I am red on the forum, as I am the admin, however it is still showing as the blue that any normal member within the forum is. Is there a way to change this so our username colour in the recent threads bar is the same as our username colour on the forum?

The plugin won't pick up styling consistently, but you can add the group colors to the plugin's CSS.. To change the Admin group to red, you can add this... #RT-Master .content .group-1 { color: red; } Just change the group number and the color for your other groups.
