Re-sizing board mod and posting help

so i've been trying to make my forum appear smaller but i seem to be having difficulties with that and with the board mod sizing properly. for now, i'm not going to bother with it anymore and just wait for some help and work on something else. my replies may be very late, i don't have internet at home and work 38 hours a week so no library time and my phone sucks with internet.

anyways, to the point, my forum is resized on the front page. but it also cuts off the second row of boards. i've tried the padding, the margin, adding a width and it either comes up with a big gap and the same problem between the boards or just doesn't fix a thing in general. is there anyone who knows how to fix this? is it something to do with the containers? 

another thing is that there is just too much spacing in posts. here is an example of what is going on and then this is an example of what i would actually like for it to be here. i screen shot it, since there were two different posts and i didn't want it all confused. both post are using two blockquote tags and a justify tag. i've tried resizing the forum but it doesn't seem to be working that way, since my forum is actually smaller than that used in the example. :/

i hope this all made sense and that this was all posted in the right board.

To fix the first part, about the boards being hidden, you have your td's to have a width of 512 pixels, which is larger than half of your forum's size (960px). Change the 512 pixels to 470 pixels and you should be good!
