Hello, I am requesting a plug-in that allows a moderator or administrator re-arrange the order of posts in a thread. That way, if certain posts should occur before another, or if a particularly important post appears, where it is located in the thread can be changed.
I did attempt to do this by moving posts from one thread to another, but they would always rearrange themselves chronologically, so possibly editing the time-stamp for a post would be a relatively simple fix for this request. I do programming myself, so I know how difficult something as simple as this may be, but none of my experience is in HTML or BBCode or any of this web stuff, so that's why I came to ask you guys. If perhaps it doesn't seem too difficult but have business elsewhere, you could guide me on how to do it myself.
Thanks for reading!

Only on a per-page basis. If you had 20 posts per page, you could reorder them to be 20-1 on the first page, 40-21 on the second page, 60-41 on the third page, and so on. There is no way to reorder the entire thread at once.

Tim Camara, It seems like they want a way to rearrange the thread not just by flipping which order the posts are shown (most recent on top vs most recent at end) but by literally dragging and dropping the order of posts, like the way we can rearrange plugins and boards/categories. OP, let me know if I interpreted that wrong

Oh, well, that can still be achieved within the same limitations of being bound to the same page.

No, you got my interpretation right. Even on a per-page basis, that'd definitely be something, especially if the posts per page were bumped up to 30
If I'm also understanding the way the boards work correctly, you could potentially move posts to another thread temporarily so that you could get the correct post on the correct page and then move the remaining back to the thread? Not sure if that sounded confusing

If you move the remaining back, they will be re-inserted by timestamp so they will end up back where they were.

Oh, wow, thanks! That was wicked fast, thank you so much.
Although, now I feel silly. I'm not entirely sure how to use it. It's probably something fairly simple, I just don't see it.
Edit: I've installed Yootil, but I don't see the bar for it at the bottom left, so maybe that's the problem? It doesn't seem to be properly functioning? I know this isn't quite the thread for it, but it doesn't quite seem to be working.

the yootil bar has to be enabled, it's an option in the plugin settings. It'll show up at the bottom left of the side and may need to be expanded by clicking on the rightward arrow. Yootil will need to be at the very top of your plugin list, also, when you're looking at "Manage Plugins" in your admin panel

Top of list, bar enabled, still no arrow. I even turned off the rest of the plugins to see if there was somehow conflicting code and tried changing browsers, but still nothing.

It's boards.net, so a basic free one.
